Isn't it to compete with chr? I think there's Turbo or diesel rvr in Asia, Australia. Had a chr for courtesy once and it was so small, the stupid door designs and the high lift to get things into the trunk. It basically feels like a lifted Corolla x6 coupe style.

Not sure about the base 160hp k20, but 200 hp k24 was decent in the rb1 odyssey for a 7 passenger wagon.

A good CVT makes a huge diff.

HRV is fine & you can get the 1.5T in the Acura ADX if you want

C-HR is in the same category yes, it's so bleh I forgot about the C-HR

Personally, I am not a big fan of the Honda L15 engine though. In stock tunes, it is smooth and refined, but somehow I still like the character of the K20 better.

And then there seems to be more reliability issues with the engine, whereas the K20 is fairly bulletproof.

Now it's almost as big as a gen 2 CR-V.

It was an Asia-market model before coming here iirc.

I think 3rd gen crv is closer. Length is 0.3cm difference.

Isn't hrv just a raised Fit using same chassis and L15 engine? Or is newest hrv different?

The first HRV that the N.American market got was actually the 2nd gen HRV, and that was based on the 3rd gen Honda Fit.

But the current (3rd gen) HRV is based on the 11th gen Civic.

Chr still looks way better

Nice photos, GS8! (Also neat Pontiac...G8?)

I'm curious about the HR-V: Was it meant to replace a certain model within Honda's line up? Or was it just a misfit model came out of nowhere?

As mentioned, in North America, the 1st gen HRV was based on the Honda Fit and had awkward proportions but did have a rear seat bench that could be folded upward (allowing for something like a dog to lay right on the car's floor).

This 2nd gen HRV is based on the larger Civic and while being more refined, it's still a 2.0 with CVT. Good enough to do what you need it to. Nothing more and nothing less. It works but the foldable rear bench is gone now. It's great in the city!

Sweet an ND3, I've been thinking about a miata too! Share me your thought process why you got it.
RF vs soft top etc

I decided on the MX-5 using this formula

"40yrs old + no kids = Miata Life"

My requirements for a Miata were that it be new (because lease) and it had to have the sport package (Brembo's, Recaro seats, BBS wheels) and be in GS-P trim (LSD, Bilstein dampers, strut tower brace, BOSE sound system). I scoured Autotrader for months and found nothing that fit these requirements until I found this RF. I originally wanted a Soul Red Metallic soft top but I was unable to find one with the options I wanted. After seeing the RF in person I really started to like the way it looked both with the top up and the top down. The roof's folding process adds some extra theater and onlookers seem to think it's cool so I went with it, 99lb weight penalty be damned. In the end I didn't get a Soul Red but Mainlander White Metallic still looks pretty good!

Nice car! I actually went to drive the same spec grey one in Surrey a couple weekends ago. Trying to decide between an 86/BRZ and the ND3. Was really impressed by the engine in the Miata, it felt pretty angry. Usually the miata's engine is the least exciting part of the car and it kinda stole the show for me.

I think I'll end up in the Ts but its not an easy choice.

You talking about a car, or a favorite past time with a midget?

:suspicious:
