How folks doing with a few weeks to go in the year?

I'm 2 lbs short right now - been right at 171 for a week now, down 2lbs from early Nov so sub 170 is in sight.

Im 172 today but the bodyfat scale at my gym said i gained 5lbs of muscle. Those things arent super accurate but sounds good to me. Trying to cut a few lbs now before i go to taiwan in a few weeks and then ill gain it all back plus some.

I'm going to resume after holidays. Probably hovering around 163 (haven't weighed myself inawhile). Goal is 157lbs, perhaps lower.

im a few pounds shy of 180 right now :lawl: and ive come to term with losing a weight loss bet i have going with a co worker. aint no way i can drop 40lbs in a few weeks.

so new year new goal 40 lbs in 4 months. why 4 months? we're going on vacation in march.
this time i finally caved and im letting my gf train me. she said if she cant get me down to 14X lbs i can have whatever i want and she'll never bug me about how i workout and diet ever again.

with that being said.... this is hows shes gonna do it....

There’s no way you can drop 10lbs a month at that weight, I don’t even know why she’s misleading you like that dude.

Losing almost 25% of your entire body weight when you’re not even obese at all in 4 months? No. I would say borderline dangerous to even try that. The caloric deficits would have to be starvation level.

Bro unless you’re 5’1 I don’t know how your weight goal would be 140. That’s an unreasonable weight loss plan for sure. That’s like Christian bale machinist weight loss plan.

well he was 153 at the last weigh in so being low 140s isn't impossible, but usually guys i know who are that skinny are the types who are forever skinny and cant gain weight if they tried... targeting 140 is something else..

We are Asian, it's possible. I'm 5'10 and I was 145lbs when I graduated high school. I got fat in university and fatter still when I first started working and hit 200lbs.

I was 170-180lbs for a long time after I committed to get healthier when I hit 200lbs. I've slimmed down since, during covid I hit a low of 155lbs. I'm at 171lb right now

im only 5'8" so 14X is not unreasonable for me. in the last weight loss thread i was able to get down to 145 i think and 140 when i had food poisoning. the reason the target number for me is 140 is because that was my ideal weight in my 20s. visual abs and enough muscles to not look skinny.

i was high 140s when i was running a lot like 7-8 years ago. i dont think i looked unhealthy skinny but i could see my abs for the first time in my life lol. didnt know they were really in there... had to see it to believe it.

It's a myth. Last time I could see 6 packs was highschool, I biked a fuck ton.

The closest I've gotten since was the dividing line down the middle right around my son was born. Never got the across the ab definition back.

First time trying an aggressive 7,000/week deficit to lose 2lb/week. Working well, picked up running, average 5-10KM run per day + 3-4 days of Vball/Pickleball for 2-4 hours at a time. I'm so de-trained by not weight lifting for a year but muscle memory is a blessing and I'm almost at 70% of peak after 3 weeks of diet + weight lifting.

Weight loss is easy mode when you're young, gotta be grateful and make use of this good body while I have it.


Target is 198lbs by end of Jan. Can't wait to be shredded

187lbs right now, keeping the weight below 190, the weekly boxing class on top of the weight lifting is keeping the winter weight from coming on.
