https://www.verywellhealth.com/thmb/...66dac1f318.jpg Those are American numbers so take with a grain (or lb) of salt. I'm gonna go get myself a Dexascan this month so I can set more specific goals for 2026 but I'd bet I'm at least 25% BF so 20% sounds pretty awesome. |
Now that I will be out of work, I can focus on working out? |
I know I would. It'll give you something productive to do and you'll feel great afterwards. Physical health is a big part of mental health. Plus, with extra time you can spend more time getting into routines or learning different types of exercise to see what suits you. No better time than the present! |

There is one massive massive challenge for me though, mental health. It's not something that gets talked about much but my emotional and mental is a complete mess right now. I'm getting multiple anxiety/panic attacks daily and it's been a very rough week. I'm still working, my end date is Dec 31st. I'm about to start my lunch time workout routine but fuck man my body is responding to the stress (in a predictable way mind you, but it's, let just say, inconvenient) |
I bet. Those cunts at Amazon should not be letting people go before xmas/new year. At least announce it after jan 1st. They basically ruined your xmas/new year. Another reason why we should never be nice to these corporations. Take advantage of their policies, because they sure as shit take advantage of their people/tax incentives/share shareholders/etc. |

I got grilled inside out last week at work for something that I think is fairly insignificant. It was my mistake -- no doubt about that, but the practical impact / consequence of the mistake is really pretty small. I just had to find a way to let go, decompress, and not let that weight me down. You gotta go do something that makes you happy and set you free from the mental stress. Whether it is pumping iron, heading out for a rip in the M3, treat yourself to some comfort food (but please don't binge eat), or banging a young hot chic..., OK, maybe not that last one anymore... But do something that makes you happy and let go. You can't move on to the next chapter in life / work life if you are still tethered to this termination from Amazon, and the Amazon chapter was exactly just that -- a chapter that will end on the 31st. And then you'll be starting a whole new chapter, with many more to come. Our parents' generation has mistakenly allowed their work life to define who they identify as. But we don't dance to that same tune because we are so much more than just work. |

Lack of job anxiety can be the worst because it's totally out of your control. I think Hobz suggested this, but don't bother banging out postings and throwing around your resume right now, you'll just feel disenfranchised with the lack of responses. People are all vacation right now, companies aren't really posting their jobs or hiring in December. I assume you've also made sure to submit your application for EI. Try to fight the anxious urges and just know you can hit the ground running by second week of January. |
I expect zero bites until probably mid to end of Jan. Mental expectation vs reality hitting is two completely different things. I hear Traum, but M3 is on winters and its a squidgy mess hahaha. Plus, trying to tighten up and spend less monies if I can. The bit where it hits really hard are the little luxuries you don't really think about. I was in a particularly poor state over the weekend when I was grocery shopping. Because I need to think about conserving our cash it meant I couldn't just pick up whatever the fuck I wanted. I did my lunch workout today, it helped to get some oxygen in my brain and sweat a little. Doing slightly better right now compared to this morning. Just got to keep it up. I'm in the binge eating phase of stress as well, so controlling that has been challenging as well. I finished a bag of dijon chips last night, 1000 calories. |
I hear drugs are a great stress reliever:nyan: |
Might I suggest adding some walking to your routine? it'll help you get outside, get some fresh air, and burn some calories easily. Give yourself a good 30-60 mins, listen to some music if you want to and just clear your head. |

Related: META's AI just banned me from posting on FB Marketplace or doing live videos for a month because I liked and commented "Gimme a hit too!" on a photo of a guy snorting HotWheels up a straw |

Man it really bums me out hearing another RS brother is hurting especially over the holidays. Dick move on Amazon, they lost me as a customer. I had a few things in my cart I was gonna buy for Christmas presents. I guess this year everyone is getting aliexpress garbage. |
ITS NOT GARBAGE !!! my aliexpress shit is better than the OEM vw shit. |
Don't let my misfortune become your family and friends' misfortune by substituting with Aliexpress :lol |

it also sucks that several sectors are either laying people off and/or going through a hiring freeze. working out like others said will help relieve stress. |

Evofire, if you’re struggling may I suggest peppermint patty here. https://www.whistlerwag.com/dogs/peppermint-patty- https://static.wixstatic.com/media/3...361b60~mv2.jpg I know it sounds hasty, but nothing provides support like a dog. Especially a rescue puppy who can be raised to fit well into your living situation. We got Mona from wag in a pretty rough time. She was about 4 months old. We were in the deep shit of covid, struggling to handle parenting a 7 month old, lost our dog of 9 years to his third bout with cancer. Was a huge help and continues to be. |
