It's one thing for Toyota to announce and make the new Rav4's, but how many of them will come to the dealerships, and how those dealerships will sell them could likely be 2 very different stories.

It seems like Prius Primes are actually available for off-the-lot purchases without markups now. That's a good sign (for buyers). Can the same be said for this new gen of Rav4's though? Esp with the Rav4 Prime (PHEV), I am very skeptical that there won't be an excessively long wait, or dealerships wanting to play the no trade-in, no car or mark up games.

Wind noise can be a very individual vehicle thing.

We cracked a mirror fairing on the X5, and it's not sounded the same since. And this also goes back to the manufacturer, how well have they engineered the part of handle variances on the production line? No two cars are put together the same, however miniscule the differences are. Heck, my old NC had a hole on the chassis that was drilled 2mm off so tolerances for certain manufacturers can be all over the place (Mazda and Subaru are two well known offenders in the Japanese makes)

The current economy is going to make some of these cars more available. Not every family is going to have 65k to drop on a new family car. The Prius is also particularly susceptible to it as it's not a desired body form factor.

I don't even like the CR-V hybrid so the rAV4 must be extra terrible if it's losing.

The new CR-V Hybrid has dual pane glass in the front now, it's great and quiet on the highway - brother has a CR-V Hybrid Touring(?) and lives in Seattle, and it's very very decent on the concrete there. Surprised the hell out of me when I drove it.

I dig it too, and yes I wish it had a bit more oomph.

I think you should test drive all current models - the Toyotas are hands down the worst right now which is shocking.

Mazda is good, the CR-V Hybrid is good (need Hybrid or EX-L gas for the dual pane windows), the RAV4 is shockingly meh/bad.

Huge improvement on this gen, try it again when you get a chance (rental?)

shaddup hondafuck boys. stop defending your piece of shit CRV's. its garbage okay, its all garbage. honda is fucking garbage. the only thing they make that's good is that CTR and the rest is utter trash and needs to be destroyed.

red kryptonite 10-23-2025 11:54 AM

The NVH in the rollacross isn’t that bad imo but I don’t drive that often. The kicks was the worst and I’m not even that picky when it comes to NVH.

Do you mean the current gen Prius not being a crossover / SUV makes it a less desirable body form factor?

I've been itching to get into something bigger (although it makes no financial sense, so it won't happen), and the current gen Prius (Prime) is one of the very few contenders on my list. I've driven hybrid-only version a number of times before, and found myself really liking the drivetrain combo, as well as the handling of the car. That was quite a surprise as I had hated the previous versions LOL~

Yeah exactly that, everyone wants a wagon on stilts. But I get it, the big trunk is great.

I don't know if you can trade the M2 for a Prius though, the driving experience would be way number, and you aren't exactly getting the level of comfort in return either.

Toyota will self destruct as it flies too close to the sun and be broken up into scraps. Honda will survive making lawnmowers, generators, and oh yeah, Civic Type Rs.

The new one is much better, mostly just nitpicks from my end about the brake pedal / screens looking a bit low res / suspension a bit bumpy.
It's not super fair because I drove it right after a Jeep GC 4XE, which rides like a magic carpet.

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...mparison-test/

Another comparo of the hybrid CUVs and the CR-V wins over the new RAV4 with refinement being one of the key differentiators.

Quote:

That includes a heated steering wheel and front seats, both with leather; a premium Bose audio system; a hands-free power tailgate; and—a feature that made a huge impact on the comparison—an acoustically laminated windshield and front side windows. The acoustic combo is only available on this trim (the top CR-V EX-L gas model gets the windshield treatment but not the door windows), and with an as-tested price of $44,155 (Platinum White Pearl paint accounted for $455 of that amount), the added serenity they bring was almost enough to seal the deal right out of the gate.

How do we convince Badhobz that Honda truly delivers better products?

The only problem with the 4XE Jeeps is that they're spending 50% of the time in the shop lol

The Grand Cherokee is particularly bad, like 70%.
Way worse than the Wrangler 4XE which is like 45% bad.

It was, however, much quieter than the X5 and rode better than the air suspension/hydro roll bars one.

Shaddup you fag. Your fucking lawn mowers are as stupid as your face ! (I can’t find a Honda mower anywhere… they’ve stopped selling them !!!) fuck you Honda.

red kryptonite 10-23-2025 04:53 PM

They still sell them online. Probably no one wants to stock them because they’re like $1500-2000. No thank you!!! $300 lawnmower at Costco is just as good, who cares about reliability when you have unlimited returns.

Badhobz 10-23-2025 04:55 PM

nah they dont, its all discontinued (or retrostock). They had a recall on the last few gas mowers they made, and now its completely dead. LIKE THEIR FUCKING CAR LINEUP!!!!

bcrdukes 10-23-2025 04:55 PM

Wow, Honda no longer makes gas lawnmowers and these new electric motor ones are expensive as hell! :suspicious:
