Has the Alfa 4C actually been selling? There's a bunch of them just sitting at the dealership on Main, but I would've guessed a car like that would have a waiting list.

Honestly, i feel like the majority of the people that could afford them and would want to buy them on sheer looks and "exotic" factor alone, rich asian kids *let be real here* would be turned away from it due to its raw driving experience compared to ferrari's and lambo's with their plush leather seats and trick suspension setups that make them a lot more livable on a daily basis and the heavier that used to manual steering.

Sadly, i feel like that the 4C is a car that the enthusiast wants and would like to own, but realistically cant justify the means of buying it even as a second car.

Personally I feel that anyone who would want a bare-bones, raw experience, enthusiast sports car would want a stick. Once you get over how amazing it looks, 4c imo appeals to no one.

I agree, but that didn't seem to play much of a factor amongst GT3/RS buyers.

Aventador randomly stopped dead in the lane. They tried jumping it with a tow truck but still didnt run. I overhead them saying they're gonna tow it straight back to the dealership. Btw both cars had demo plates on them

A former salesperson at McLaren (who has some "notoriety" in the car industry...) went out on a test drive with a customer and there was a small fire in the engine bay due to a loose oil filler cap leaking a bit of oil onto the exhaust manifold. Luckily the car was fine and no one was hurt or anything....

The license plates on it reads "Rose7", believe it's owned by an asian guy who dailies a white G63 with similar plates.

Is it the incident that involved (scandalous BMW dude) Michael Ho's yellow mclaren spyder? I think it was because he didn't screw the gas cap tight enough, then gasoline escaped and erupted in small flames from the heat of the rear end.

I thought in most cases(not all) it was just put on for the photo-shoots and then taken off again, more so for advertising.

My personal opinion is if you're buying a $200K+ car you should just stick with the OEM wheels. They didn't spend millions in R&D for you to go out and put some shitty as wheels and basically ruining the handling of the car.

I'm pretty sure 99% of supercar owners care only about the look, you could easily put a Corolla motor inside a plastic case that looks like the V10 or 12 and most of the owners would never notice.

A lot of horror stories about adv.1 wheels on various car forums over the years. I also read most of these "new" wheel companies use the same manufacturers so the quality is fairly poor.

That been said I've seen HRE and other high end wheels posted on various forums that cracked and had quality control issues. My personal opinion is if you're buying a $200K+ car you should just stick with the OEM wheels. They didn't spend millions in R&D for you to go out and put some shitty as wheels and basically ruining the handling of the car.

Agreed. The thing that bugs me is that Lambos always have pretty sweet wheel designs that actually follow the design language of that particular car. This even speaks for Lambos as old as Miura, Countach and Diablo.

im ok with aftermarket wheels on super cars, its just that if u pay for an expensive wheel then it should have the quality of one

if i buy rotas, i know from the quality isnt gonna be like rays and this means im totally not gonna be tracking my car for sure

what i pay for is what i get, now its up to how i use it so i dont have injuries or death

most of the time the nicer stock wheels look best anyways

very rarely is the case where somone puts an aftermarket wheel on and you think, yea, that looks better than stock

As much as i do admire alpina's, even if i had the money to buy them, the only one i would consider is the d3 lol

mainly cus its a fast enough car and has enough style without being a massive land yacht like the b6's or b7's

plus dat maintenance cost on new german cars :heckno:

I love the Alpina's but they don't hold their values and depreciate quite fast, faster than most M cars.

Realistically though, if you're rich enough to buy one all your going to care about is the exclusivity of owning one. Unless you're a Alpina enthusiast.

That person probably works at fmov or SR in kits. A couple of exotics sitting outside a shop doesn't necessarily imply they're driven daily though, not sure what the brand and marketing is about.

I really don't understand why people continue to care about how people use their cars, regardless of the value.

It's two different views on the same thing:

Person 1 shells out hard earned money for their dream car (whatever that may be, it could be a Prius for all I care, actually no, sorry anything but a prius... It could be a yaris). That person wants to use their car as much as possible and enjoy it as much as they can for as long as they can.

Person 2 shells out hard earned money for their dream car (again whatever it may be, perhaps a new Mazda 3). This person decides that they rather save their new car for the moments when they can truly appreciate driving it, for example road trips in the summer, or late nights cruising with buddies.

Neither is right or wrong.

And all of ya'll are sitting here bench racing. Quit worrying about it, it makes absolutely no difference to your life... It's like your watching two Americans arguing over politics, one side is going to say democrats the other is going to scream republicans. Meanwhile you as a Canadian are talking shit like you even have a horse in this race, you don't just sit the fuck down and appreciate the hilarious show your watching.

From what I've read they don't do PTS on the gt3 RS so that means only what you see is what you get for paint options. Unfortunately I can't confirm since I haven't scraped up enough money to try and order a PTS mint green RS

On the other hand, I am just trying to make sense of this... Given the limited allotments of GT3 RS to each dealer, how does a customer exactly get ahold of one? I am sure there are plenty of customers in the lower mainland with cash and ready to purchase a GT3 RS, but dealerships will have to select who to sell it to?

Checked out the Huracan Spyder yesterday, amazing interior but not a fan of the wheels. They remind of old Giovanna's my buddy had on his Benz back in 2001.

And on the topic of the Huracan, decided to part ways with my R8 and place an order for the 580-2, looking at a December delivery. It's the same spec with a couple different interior options as the white 580-2 on display, here's a picture;

Finalized the options yesterday, basically exactly the same white LP580 which is on display. Only options I added was the clear front euro markers and travel package aka $700 for a cup holder lol. I'm going to take the demo LP580 and Spyder out once the weather clears up.

Gotta admit Lambo Vancouver was a breeze to deal and very friendly even though I started off as a window shopper. One of the better dealers I've dealt with. Also Lambo Van should be listing my R8 once I sign off, if anyone is interested in a clean R8 V10 with full warranty check it out.

I was there a few months ago, the day they were making a deal on the Murci. It's too bad, because I wasn't able to overhear what they guy was trading it in for.

The car was a bit rough. Fog in the headlights, and it was in dire need of a detail. But it looks like they brought it back to it's former glory. I still love the styling of the Murci. It's a true 12 cylinder supercar.

the blue was magnificent!!! Our photographer fell ill and wasn't able to make it, so I couldn't capture the interior like it deserved lol. The White on the yellow huayra was just as cool! So beautiful <3

Took the whip out for Auto X today at Pitt Meadows and had a great time learning more about the car on the new suspension and diff setup. Loooots of rotation :)

Anyway, had an unexpected surprise when my friend showed up with his 991 GT3 RS to spectate and check out the Evo in the flesh. I keep bugging him for a ride one of these days since he picked up the car not too long ago. He's like, "A ride? You can drive it!" Didn't expect that as this guy has been offered 400k for the car already and turned it down. It caught me so off guard I was like "haha, appreciate that but a ride will be fine thanks." His response: "it's just a fucking car, drive the thing!" Gold :fullofwin: true car guy! Drive them, that's what they're meant for!

Side story you might enjoy. I met this guy on my way back from Tofino a couple years back. I was passing a bunch of cars and noticed a white Porsche on my ass while doing so. I didn't bother downshifting because the car makes so much torque in the midrange that most times it's not necessary. I assumed it was a Carerra S or something but when it was still on my tail like glue I knew this was much faster. At this point I'm thinking it must be a turbo, and downshift, yet he's still on my tail! finally I start to pull away ever so slightly and then the road starts getting twisty and he's on my ass like grass. I have precious cargo in the passenger seat so ease up A) as it's the responsible thing to do and B) Because I'll get my ass handed to me in the curves. (Unbeknownst to me it was a 991 GT3). We get to the ferry and have a good chat about each other's cars and cars in general. Gotta love how cars bring people together!

Feels lighter than the 610-4, back end does kick out if you hit the pedal too hard but you never feel like you're about to lose control. Acceleration feels quicker. It's more of a drivers car compared to the 610-4.

I'll probably put down a deposit for the superleggera or SV version of the Huracan which is expected to be out in 2018. Interesting tidbit, there's already 20+ people locally on the wait list for Lambo's new SUV called the "Urus". There's almost a 2 year wait list as of today.
