No Japanese content found, but Lamborghini really kicked it into the 21st century when ze Germans took over. They went from a small, disorganized factory in Sant Agata with poor record keeping, to state of the art German efficiency. It's helped immensely, since their production tripled in that time period. Back in the day, if you needed a part or your vehicle history, they actually needed to go into the old filing cabinets to collect the original documents. Add to that the fact that they would use whatever bits and pieces they had lying around and you have a tough time. For example, some late model countach cars had Diablo engines. Not all, just some.

The Germans saved Lamborghini. They allowed the Italians to design a car, while taking on the task of organizing all of the little details.

The new Fiat 124 Spider is essentially that. Miata everything except the design and engine, assembled in Japan.

^ the abarth version definitely looks nice, but just seems overdone and aftermarketish. I saw a new Miata lowered with TE37s and it looks really clean with just enough aggression. Well done Mazda!

I think the sls and slr are literally some of the ugliest cars ever made. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I'm just busting balls anyways. The photos are fucking sick as always from Justin.

Although the SLR is very much the oddball car out of the three and doesn't nearly get as much love, I like it just because of its overall ridiculousness lol. Everything from it's head-butting development between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, to it's stupid long penis-nose hood and the ungodly amount of horsepower and torque underneath it, and finally the retarded $100,000 brake job cost :rofl: Or maybe I'm just a bit nostalgic because of the Top Gear challenge where it raced to Norway :lawl:

With that said, I absolutely adore the Carrera GT LOL. It's the only car with a manual gearbox and that V10 is just :sweetjesus: The Enzo is a really cool car to see up close in person, and is quite small in overall size compared to how it looks in photos.

Also, I wasn't the only photographer invited to the shoot. Just wait until their photos get posted up :)

Was there one there with 4 gauges on the dash in front of the passenger? I was looking at one a while ago and was curious where it went after it sold. That was a half measure on my part, shoulda went all the way and pulled the trigger on that one. #regretz

I did not see that one. Then again, some of them had all the windows up so I couldn't see into them because I didn't want to accidentally touch their cars.

Sadly, the GN owners were being introverts at the show. Oh well.

^ for a daily driver, I freaking love the thing! I am surprised how well it handles. It feels faster than 200hp suggests. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot overlap your throttle and brake. If you left foot brake and try to step on the throttle, it cuts all power! kind of dangerous when you are changing lanes. I wish I took the factory 20s though:okay: Your wife's car looks sweet!

Yup, I was shocked how nice it is to drive and you're right about the power, feels much faster. Makes me want to get rid of my X5 and get a S3 which I also heard is a blast to drive.

I've always loved the 5 rotor 20" wheels, we got lucky because there was a incoming truck with the exact specs we wanted including the wheels otherwise we would have had to settle with whatever was in stock.

My buddy says the cars have been there since the building was built and he moved in 4 years ago. Haven't moved once. He spoke with the owner offering to buy them and he has zero interest just saying they'll be worth something someday, sad

So I was informed of the launch event for the Bugatti Chiron which will happen end of August at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Too bad the car won't be showcased at luxury & supercar event in September.

That's a terrible analogy, you're effectively saying there's no point buying a Mclaren because someone can make a Mclaren style bodykit for their Fiero. In reality they're all still Mclarens so it's like someone with a real LV wallet next to someone with a nicer LV wallet. You might not be able to tell the difference between them but they're still gonna stand out to anyone with a bit of an interest in wallets.

cars such as Porsche's lineup etc. they are all Porsches, yet each model is very different in appearance

even to me as a pretty big car guy, that mclaren is just any other mclaren, the styling has turned me off to the point where i dont really care to the model or motor, it's just another 650 etc.

Those were from the annual Northwest Ferrari club's Concours d'Elegance. There is the "Ferrari Day" at the Exotics at Redmond Town Center in Redmond, WA on Sept 3rd. So there is a good chance that both GTOs will be there, or at least the Series 2.

Spotted a unicorn driving around English Bay, no time to take a pic as it was in driving opposite lane, red 1985 Audi Sport Quattro with wide fenders, white wheels and a few Hella lights in front. Looked like it had US plates.

I spotted that today near Marine Gateway - it's a regular Quattro with a Sport Quattro conversion kit by 2Bennett (http://www.2bennett.com/sport_quattro.html) . The actual Sport Quattro has a smaller rear window.

The Attessa IV is parked in the DryDock Seaspan Dry dock like 2 minutes from this location. You can actually see it's tail end sticking out if you look out from the quay.

The IV is like double the size of the original.

i sometimes see a dark blue one parked near the extended care facility on sussex ave. near metrotown... canadian made purpose-built wheelchair-accessible vehicle, not some hacked up conversion.

Gotta be the same one, it was blue, and driven by an older guy. I didn't even know what the fucking thing was till I got back to my office and looked it up.

It's a 1 of 1 colour that's never been done by Lamborghini before.

It looks like Blu Cepheus but it isn't. This colour (I forgot the actual name for it) translated means "God of the sky".

The Sun (Thursday or Friday) has a list of events in their automotive section. This year Crescent Beach went full concours with judges from the US, etc. Very limited entry, maybe only one of each type in maybe 9 classes. Said they turned away 150 applicants' cars in the muscle car class alone. Due to weather, maybe, or lack of random participants, event was very low key. Last year was a gong show for parking/traffic. This year spots were open in the main lot (which had some nice visiting cars). The "Classics" from the 30s were terrific.

That's the Atessa (original).

The Attessa IV is parked in the DryDock Seaspan Dry dock like 2 minutes from this location. You can actually see it's tail end sticking out if you look out from the quay.

The IV is like double the size of the original.
