Yes 215/45/16 is the OEM size and Falken Azenis RT615K is one of the only summer choices. I ran 205/45/16 RE71R on my 16s. They run wide so fitment was fine.

The JDM 16s could also be the 16" Rotas that came with Kevin's Lawrenuk's car. The car was sold to a buyer in Vancouver with all spares.

Lots of ITR parts coming out of the wood work. I assume there are plenty in Civics out there.

Tirerack says you can. They list it along with the RE040, Azenis RT615K+, and BFG Rivals all in 215/45/16.

Change the width to 205 and that will open up a lot more selection.

My friend has 205/45/16 RE71R on his JDM 16's and they look right at home with a nice sidewall.

2001 Canadian spec only. Same as a normal Integra seat just reversed pattern (red seat with black stitch). Hype boys go bananas for them in the US due to rarity. Some say only 250 cars were made but I believe TouringTeg has a letter from Honda/Acura Canada stating 187 or something to that effect.

You are most likely seeing the JDM Recaro's in red, which are quite common, and OEM equipment in Japan.

Yes according to Honda Canada 185 were retailed in Canada for 2001. There were many media reports etc. over the years that said there were 250. There were only about 1000 97-01 CDM ITR retailed. And just for kicks since I bought my car I have tried to track down as many 2001 CDM as I can. I have only found 31 Canadian cars. Others are likely hiding or were destroyed (accidents/theft).

The letter below comes from a 2001 CDM owner who had his car destroyed in a crash. To help the owner get the maximum pay out he got this letter from Honda Canada. I don't know what the badge number of this destroyed CDM 2001 ITR.

Every ITR on the planet had black rear seats except Canadian 2001. 2001 CDM was the only R to receive red seats front and rear (not Recaro seats). USDM all got black front and rear. Rest of world got Recaro SRD front seats (red, black or yellow). Red is by far the most common.

Recaro SRDs are much better than the seats we got in North America regardless of color.

Fun fact: The first owner of my 01 ITR nearly traded his red seats for black. His friend had a 2001 CDM ITR and didn't like the red so they actually traded another owner for all black. I believe that car to be Kevin's rebuilt 2001 ITR that was just sold to the lower mainland recently. I am so glad my red seats survived all these years. My driver's seat sits in the garage while I use a Recaro Pole Position instead.

Trailing arm bushings were the worst culprit but also control and toe arm ones. Not sure how common it is but there have been a handful of ITR owners who have experienced this. Personally I would just stick with OEM or ball-out with Mugen or Spoon. Debatable whether the price increase is worth the latter two though. Spherical is just non-sense for a car that sees public roads.

Nope. We can import cars less than 15 yrs old from USA/Mexico thanks to NAFTA.

Some manufacturers make it difficult because they don't like it. For example Honda will not honor any warranty if you go buy a USA car and bring it here. Ran into that with S2000 when they were newer but once they are older it doesn't matter.

It received a lot of maintenance including transmission overhaul to prepare it for sale. I am not sure what the RS handle was for the Victoria seller but he prob was on RS. As for price of the 97 R I think it is fair. It will likely sell in the 22-24k range. Mileage and forced induction mods makes it harder to sell. It is very clean in person but some will be thrown off by the mileage and not give it a chance.

Jasonturbo looked at it recently and could give a fair assessment.

I highly doubt it. The CTR from factory isn’t low, it isn’t loud etc. The only stock cars being pulled over for VI’s are things like M cars with the option exhausts, Maserati, gt350’s running in “track mode” on the street etc. No reason a stock CTR should be pulled over or ticketed unless you deserved it

I wish it was that easy. I have family in various areas of government and it’s a HUGE no no to use your job to try and get out of tickets. Best thing you could do is keep your government ID next to your drivers license so when you open your wallet, you just hope they see that you’re one of them lol

The Nurburgring is sometimes pretty scary i was following another Megane 3 RS it was so hard to keep up and some turns are pretty scary. You need to know by heart the circuit to be efficient, specially the braking points. I saw few crashes, one RS4 and one Golf GTI. You have to think before going full gas hahaha.

Yes but you can still buy the car, not like the Civic which has the record (cheeeeattttterrrrr). I had Ohlins on my M3RS and on my Downhill bike (no one can service it in Canada lol) too. Even if i'm French i have less respect for Honda, Toyota and Nissan because they are thieves. I have few Peugeot, Renault engineers in my family and they basically told me how Japaneses and Chineses stole our technologies. Sorry but i hate thieves, Citroën democratized FWD so it's normal for PSA and Renault to be the best one. Also it's easy for Michelin and Renault to make a way faster car but thanks to Macron and Hollande we can't with the Co2 emissions ($15000 of tax just for the car). That's why the M4RS has a 1.8 turbo and the the price per litre is $2.5 atm in France lol.

Japaneses were famous for that, they buy their competitor's cars and dismantle everything ( most of the companies do that anyway ). He was apparently a spy. The best copy and paste is the Hyundai Genesis basically a Mercedes S class and the Dahatsu Gino which is a Mini.

You can buy a Renault Twizy and Bugatti in Canada ( yes it's French, Molsheim is still in France but the engine is made in Germany and many parts are from the VAG group). Peugeot and Citroen want to come back but they need to make bigger engines and more SUV to make money in North America. Few Nissans have Renault's engine and plateform, Renault sell diesel engines to Mercedes and the Smart is basically a Renault Twingo. Some small Fiat and Dodge mini van share the same plateform than Peugeot and Citroen vehicles too.

I have decided to begin the process of selling my ITR. I figured I'd mention it here first since this group is local and bit more intimate. Posting on Craigslist is annoying and considering the Bring a Trailer route is not really desirable for me due to time constraints. But I can certainly go that route if a sale doesn't happen through spreading the word through the grapevine. Like my previous ITR, a nice quiet transaction away from the public eye is preferred but failing that I have no problem going through the normal (albeit annoying) channels to sell.

2000 Acura Integra Type R - 81,830kms, Championship White, no A/C, Ontario car until I bought it June 2016. I am the 4th owner. Mostly stock, additional parts to go with it including some juicy rare bits. Clean enough to be considered having collectible value but not too clean to where it can't be driven.

After 3+ years of ownership I am ready to sell my ITR. It has been a lot of fun and I have met some great people through ownership. I am simply ready to try something different.

2001 Acura Integra Type R #1233 BC only car, 6th owner, 170kms. Original engine and LSD transmission. Has claims for 2300 (front right) and 1800 (rear) and a windshield 3 years ago. Missing body VINs on front bumper and passenger fender. I have the ICBC report I can provide. Located in Victoria.

Original all red interior (front and back) and plus many parts replaced and refreshed over the years. I also have spares to include such as exterior Type R stickers, rear bumper support, right front fender, right side mirror etc. The body is in ok condition but does has some rust on the rear quarter panels. My plan was to keep it long term and repaint it. Car burns oil in VTEC (as many Hondas do) but otherwise needs nothing.

Recent parts replaced include: timing belt/water pump, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, OEM transmission fluid, brake fluid (Castrol SRF), rotors and OEM brake pads, alignment, new shift knob and ebrake button, EDM floor mats. New red Acura emblems front and rear, front bumper stiffner, ground strap, battery tie down, refinished heat shield and strut tower bar end links. Regular oil changes done every year.

Car is available all stock with refinished OEM wheels with good all season Sumitomo tires, new OEM center caps and new OEM lug nuts. If desired I can include Volk TE37 15x7 +35 (original from 1997), Rays black aluminum lug nuts, Recaro Pole Position driver seat (bought last year) with Sparco brackets, and Momo SRS OEM steering wheel.

Thanks very much. I got my full asking price with no haggle and no test drive needed. $23,500 stock except Momo SRS ITR steering wheel. 170kms, two small hits $1800 and $2300, missing VINs on front bumper and passenger fender. Rust on both rear quarters. Burns oil in VTEC.

Thanks very much. I got my full asking price with no haggle and no test drive needed. $23,500 stock except Momo SRS ITR steering wheel. 170kms, two small hits $1800 and $2300, missing VINs on front bumper and passenger fender. Rust on both rear quarters. Burns oil in VTEC.



Also I have lots of spare parts etc I will be posting up when I get organized.I just heard about you selling the ITR yesterday at VMSC autocross yesterday! A few people were very surprised.

I think I even spotted it yesterday, as I was heading to Western Speedway, I saw a white ITR coming out of Millstream Village, which in hindsight could be your ITR.

VTEC all the way down there. Constantly revving at high rpm. Burned through 6 L of oil. But Honda engines can handle a ton of beating as long as you have good oil and top it up when you need to.

Srs, if it's eating 6L of oil even at high rev's either the valve seals or the rings are toast and the motor needed to be rebuilt. Sure honda's enjoy drinking a bit of oil but not 6L in 1300 miles. The good news for the new owner if it's valve seals they are pretty inexpensive to replace.

I think I was doing runs at that point, but I should still have seen you at the pit given how it was set up. I might have just been too busy talking to the other guys beside me then.
