However, i'd say over the years and especially recently it seems like aborignal culture has been brought into the game and the organization more and more whether it be a pre-game video, or in-house guests, etc. Hell, Finn bangs a drum that was given to them by some chief if i'm not mistaken.

Do you mean the mask or canuck logo? The mask, fine, it is a copy of someones art. Although that art is a public art installation and the picture being on the mask is more to honor that, than steal it.

You know, I have to agree with Skinny 100% on this. It IS cultural misappropriation and was an obvious blunder in the context of todays attention placed on these issues. Loved the art as a West Coaster, but cringed to think of a white dude from Sask-ratch-my-bum wearing it.

Since the 2013 CBA, you only get cap relief equal to the 2-way contract maximum (which was $0.925M at the time but is now $1.075M. I believe ur technically right. I think the only reason why he even played last year was for Bo to carry his ass and show he isnt completely useless for a trade but obviously there was no takers. Maybe Jmac can chime in but also the Aquilinis would have to pay him more actual cash playing in the AHL rather than this NHL season. Something about how the NHL will withhold 20% of a players money cause of the pandemic to ensure the owners get there fair share, where as the AHL doesnt have that tax on players . So i wouldnt be surprised if Loui he was on the taxi squad.

Our best shot is likely in 2-4 years when today’s young guns have matured a little through experience, our current prospects are producing in the lineup and Demko proves to meet current expectations.

A lot has to go right for any team to win the Cup.

That was one of the greatest rivalries in the last 30 years in the NHL and the Canucks had a team to go deep every year they matched up. Even though it was round 1 that will go down as one of the top moments in the history of the franchise. To finally overcome your rival like that with the same core vs core year after year is what fairy tales are made of. And don’t forget, they were also up 3-0 in that series and blew the lead to get to the game 7 OT

When they win the cup, they've slayed the dragon. Blackhawks were just a challenge along the way. What if they did win the cup that year? Did they slay two dragons? Did they slay something more powerful than a dragon? LUL
