being sick sucks. It's the last week of my work's x-mas closure and I was violently coughing, got sent home from my second job 15 mins into my shift. The coughing is pretty much gone now, but I think it's turning into the flu :(

fourtirefire 01-05-2007 10:34 PM

almost everyone i know is sick or has been sick, i had that cold two weeks ago.. it's no fun.

and yeah, after 20+ odd years on that roof they are probably due to replace it.

uhhh i just got over the stomach flu, it sucks i couldn't anything instead me to say the least...but it luckily only lasts 24 for the main part then another day of pain and suffering...you know youh have when you wake up and you feel hung over but you aren't

M-Ziggy 01-05-2007 11:16 PM

theres a 25 year warranty on the roof. its been 24 years.

starwood 01-06-2007 02:57 AM

One always enjoys getting woken up at 2:45 am by the fire alarm. What's even better is the fire dept. saying they're not sure why the alarm went off and not to be surprised if it goes off again. Somehow, I don't think I'll be getting back to sleep anytime soon.

I wish Sun Peaks was like that when I went up on Tuesday. If it weren't for the icyness it would've been awesome conditions. Maybe it'll be nice the next time I go up..

side note, when is the best time to buy a snowboard, now or around April at the end of the season?
My grandma said she'd buy me a snowboard or skiis for my birthday and I don't want her to spend a lot, plus I wanna try and get a good snowboard for a good deal.

RedCeli 01-07-2007 12:55 AM

Jardines has a good sale on at the end of every year. They sell off all their rental and demo skis and boards. You can get complete setups for really good deals.

saucywoman 01-07-2007 02:14 AM

end of the year as in around this time, or end of the ski year?
thanks Troy :)

fourtirefire 01-07-2007 07:22 AM

end of the ski season normally is an OK time to buy

Chandler 01-07-2007 10:38 AM

yeah id say as soon as you see wakeboards in all the shops is a good time to score the good deals.

saucywoman 01-07-2007 11:08 AM

ty guys :)

I got that well beat, approximately 38 hours to go about 3800km, nd that includes stopping in PG for an hour on the way up, an hour in watson lake Yukon and an hour in PG on the way back. Plus various stops on the way there

Got my first speeding ticket... right infront of DHD's house at a speed-check. Almost $200 for the fucking thing. Than he tried ticketing me for no "N" since I didnt have it displayed... I told him a buddy had borrowed my vehicle the day before and gotten the no "N" ticket and incorect use of lighting (using high beams inapropriotly since low beams dont work)... and I didnt have mine on since ICBC has been closed and I havnt been able to locate one untill Monday. So... instead he is giving me 10days to replace my windshield that has the tiniest fucking crack along the bottom... 2 inches up or something. Ugh... New vehicles are so much fucking work.

So now I've got a speeding ticket, gotta replace the windshield, dont know what the fuck is wrong with the headlights (and no its not the bulbs/fuse)... Right when I thought things were going good. Oh, cant forget.. ICBC apointment tomarrow. Cant wait to get fucked over....

You mean, new beaters to you, right?

saucywoman 01-07-2007 06:09 PM

just realized about 10 mins ago my insurance expired on the 3rd :( and it's back to work tomorrow, why couldn't I have figured this out while on x-mas closure. Hopefully I can get to the insurance place on my lunch hour or maybe they'll let me take the company truck to go get it.

The odd thing is I didn't get the renewal letter from ICBC as I did last year and they have my new address. Even if they didn't, my previous address is my grandparents place and they would've let me know if I had any mail.
