shoulda taken the rock truck for a rip eh!

right now im driving a 7.3L powerstroke diesel mounted in the shortest and lightest chassis F350 you can buy with 2wd. the thing drifts in the dry, its uncontrolable in this crap. haha

So does anyone know anything to allow me to keep something down? I've been getting sick pretty much every 30 mins-1 hour since 7:30 this morning. I went to the store during one of my nonsick moments and picked up Ginger Ale, crackers and Tylenol Flu (they didn't have any gravol, not that it worked for me anyhow) but that didn't even stay down.

It hurts so fucking much and it would be nice to keep something down:cry:

scotch mints might be worth a try - might be purely psychological but they seem to help me settle my stomach - plus it helps with your breath

and don't forget to drink lots of water

WSODgirlracer 11-25-2006 05:57 PM

Oh ricki poo :( I'm sorry, cause I think I had a hand in this. . .or you in my sickness, lol. I've had the stomach flu for several days now and I've been taking that ginger gravol non drowsy (I can't afford to miss work or school right now so I've been getting sick while out and about, lol). Although, I don't think I've been as bad as you :(

All I can really suggest is gravol and lots of sleep :( It's the ginger in ginger ale that settles your stomach. So you could try chopping up a ginger root, boiling it with 4 to 6 cups of water, straining it, adding some honey and then drinking it like tea. It's really spicy, but it works.

saucywoman 11-25-2006 08:18 PM

gotta give a shout out to my bestf Tasha for buying me soup and liquids and bringing them over to me :)

I haven't been sick for 5 hours now and the couple of crackers stayed down so maybe, just maybe I'll be able to hold some soup down

mistaken.

down_hill_dog 11-26-2006 11:18 AM

nevermind then.. thinking back, it may have been a 2 door

saucywoman 11-26-2006 06:07 PM

omg the roads out there are horrible. I heard it was suppose to get to -25 so I decided to head out and get an extension cord and find my car under a foot of snow :( Then I start driving and notice the roads are shitty so I call up my parents and ask if they have an extension cord I can borrow cause I don't wanna drive all the way to Canadian tire, driving from Valleyview to downtown was bad enough

Big Daddy 11-26-2006 06:51 PM

Try not having a heater...I'm really looking forward to driving to work tomorrow morning...

saucywoman 11-26-2006 06:56 PM

^^ oh shit, I feel for you :( Make sure to wear gloves and a toque and you should be somewhat fine

Festus351 11-26-2006 07:02 PM

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/wea...ef=wxeyealerts <-- thats always comforting.... grrr

I used to love the winter, back before i had to worry about road conditions and loved ones traveling :(

The bf is working at a construction site in merritt and drives there every morning at like 6, the roads have been shitty the last few days... tho if it keeps up they might not be able to work at all.

How are you feeling saucy? any better?

saucywoman 11-26-2006 07:20 PM

yeah feeling better. I have been able to eat and keep it down. Still feeling a little bit nauseous, but great compared to how I felt yesterday.
When Tasha came by and brought me goodies I showed her my eye and the little bit of popped blood vessels from all the puking, lol. blech

WSODgirlracer 11-26-2006 07:56 PM

^^ Your welcome :) Anything for my ricki poo :) I was so worried about you! When I saw your eye I was concerned I would have to take you to the hospital or something! Good to hear you're feeling better :)

And yeah. . .I guess those winter tires are going on sooner rather than later, lol, and now I will have to tow my car to the shop to get them put on. . .that's what I get for procrasination! Holy mother it's a freakin blizzard! I was so scared today when my dad drove me to work cause I saw a city plow skid out. . . never a reassuring site, lol.

On another note. . .I wanted to smack every customer at Aberdeen Mall today upside the head! I BARELY made it to work. . .who the frigg looks out their window, sees a blizzard that apparently snow plows can't even drive in, and says "I think I'll do some of that Christmas shopping today" !?!?!

fourtirefire 11-26-2006 10:39 PM

I think when snowstorms come, I tend to spend more time out driving than normal. It's FUN! and the more time you drive on snow the more prepared you are for panic maneuvers.

bluebomber85 11-26-2006 11:27 PM

Thats how I see it! lol... Ended up off a 20ft embankment tonite. Corner of uhh... Dilworth and summit. The hill was a solid sheet of ice, up over the curb and into the park. I thought the car was gonna be a writeoff... Ugh... Payday is gonna rule to get a set of winters put on that beast. Bald tires lick!

Big Daddy 11-27-2006 07:55 PM

I ate hamburger patties straight off the grille followed by the grossest pancakes ever, they were cold and multi grain...i was really hungry.

Oh, and:

Bah, humbug.

saloman 11-27-2006 11:54 PM

What kind of Fing Toyota blows with only 135xxx on it? it was a 2001 highlander and has well i guess had a perfect service record! this better be under warranty or i am going fng kill to someone in toyota tomorrow, i paid extra 3 grand for warranty but i hear they will try and find ways to get themselves out of it!

fourtirefire 11-28-2006 12:06 AM

#1 that thing is probably well past warranty
#2 how did you blow it up?
#3 how could you "pay" for extra warranty on someone else's vehicle?

WSODgirlracer 11-28-2006 06:49 AM

OMG, you guys are all nuts IMO for wanting to drive in this stuff, lol. And the heater in my room does not work. . . what the frig. . . :(. . . tashacicle!
