bought a dyson vacuum a few days ago to try out since we have a dog that sheds and we are getting a second in a few months.

it seems to be a good vacuum, but definatly not worth $715 taxes in good. i thought it would be alot better and then did some research online and found alot of issues with the vacuum.

that being said, i went to home depot and bought a rigid shop vac (contractor grade) for $150.

this out performs the dyson any day. and a lifetime warranty, not 5 years.

biggest problem i have is only 30-40% of my house is carpet, the rest is tile, laminant or linolieum and every vacuum blows the dog hair everywhere as i move it close. so with the shop vac and 10ft of hose, it sucks it up like a dream.

there is my sunday vacuum story, now i gotta pack up the dyson and take it back to the store today

ive got a shopvac13 in the garage. i swear that thing could suck the hair right off your dog for you.

that's not bad at all...works out to an average of about 12.8L/100km...mine usually does about 8.5-9L/100km on the GP to Kamloops stretch...but it's a tin can with no roof...providing none of the comfort yours does haha
