You moved today? Just in time for the new bridge haha.

jeffh 05-26-2008 04:31 PM

everyone who commutes around glenmore, be careful at the new 4 way stop at cross and valley roads, i was turning left off cross onto valley and i took for granted that everyone knew about the 4 way, some van blew the stop sign going down valley at about 80k and if i was a second later braking i would be on the way to the morge right now i think.

That intersection took me by surprise yesterday too, you would think they could put up those orange "new" signs in advance of the intersection just as a warning.

Oh well, I'm sure our mayor spent all the transportation budget on the bridge party yesterday, and couldn't afford to splurge for some signs.

Yeah I noticed that. It seems to have backed up traffic even more. I'll just avoid that road complete now

So I just finished getting written confirmation from Employment Standards that two things the manager at my part time job does are not allowed... This is in addition to them not paying us a cleaning allowance since they supply us with a required uniform...

From the email from ESB "Should the clothing your employer requires you to wear be defined as "special clothing" then the cost for purchasing or replacing, cleaning, and maintaining of that clothing is one that must be borne by the employer"

http://www.labour.gov.bc.ca/esb/igm/...m-esa-s-25.htm

unfortunately a lot of places get away with doing stuff their not allowed to because most people that work at these places are either too young to know anything about their rights or are afraid to say anything for fear of getting fired.

bluebomber85 06-04-2008 06:56 PM

..or just dont care.

what's the biggie about throwing a shirt and a pair of pants in the washer?
