No mom, I'm not watching bukake movies again 11-03-2008 04:39 PM

Woohoo!!!!! I finally got the job I've been striving for for the last year! Time for an easy 120-140 g's a year while getting paid to continue my Power Engineering education. I would've probably gotten it sooner except I got hurt in March and had to take 6 months for rehab. Fucking eh! I'm so happy, time to amp up the engine rebuild on the GTR.

Love those albertans

OffroadZuki 11-03-2008 08:44 PM

it's especially nice if you live in Grande Prairie or farther up north...w00tw00t for northern living allowance (teh suck for everything else haha).

Anyways...Albertans are about to be pwnt by Saskatchewan when it comes to low taxes, though.

Recovery has come along really nicely. Have full range of motion in the damaged areas and full strength back. No real long lasting damage except for the scar tissue and weird sensations that come with skin grafts.
And +1 on northern living allowance and southern trip expenses (thats right we get paid to party down south)

got back from Hawaii on Sat morning. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL there, I am sad to be back, lol... I think I've found my annual vacation spot though. Did a dolphin encounter which included a belly ride and me kissing the dolphin. I learned how to surf, rented a car and drove around the whole island (stumbling upon a small surfing competition), and snorkled at Hanuama Bay.

still tanking... oil down to 60.77

SmokeyTheBandit 11-06-2008 06:47 PM

friend of mine at work just bought a new truck for work. his van blew a head gasket on monday. min 2k repair on a van thats 15 years old aint worth it.

he ended up picking an 09 chev silverado 1500 crew cab 4x4 5.3L v8 6spd auto. sticker price was 45k. got it down to 35k. and this truck had everything from power seats, power folding mirrors, blue tooth, tow package etc.

lucky for him i was there, i got them to close the deal with throwing a free undercoating. they didnt seem to happy about that :)

what a sweet truck!

OffroadZuki 11-06-2008 06:51 PM

man...that's a HUGE price drop...Chev must be getting desperate as hell haha

SmokeyTheBandit 11-06-2008 07:12 PM

dodge was down to 29k for a 2008 1500 quad cab 4x4. but the chev blew the dodge outa the water in every way feature wise for the price.

on top of that, chev has 5 year 160k vs dodge 100k.

i just bought the sweetest tool i have ever see. 100% waterproof camera with a brightness adjustable light and zoom. fits in 3/4" holes or bigger. its got like a 2.5" screen aswell, not shown in pic.

RRxtar 11-06-2008 09:33 PM

it seems the only companies that arent giving away trucks is ford and toyota

dodge still has a flat $14,000 off the sticker price of any RAM now.

and if you buy a Nissan Titan, you get a free Versa!

OffroadZuki 11-11-2008 09:20 AM

send some this way. I really want snow so the hill will be nice and covered, lol

RedCeli 11-11-2008 04:55 PM

Me too. I can't wait for the hill to open. I bought a pass this year and I have to go extra-often to make up for the 6 weeks I'll be in Victoria doing my gasfitting apprenticeship.

saucywoman 11-11-2008 05:57 PM

my mom bought my brother and I a pass, and this is the only thing to look forward to for the rest of this year (other than my 2 weeks paid christmas closure) since Hawaii's done :(
If you can't find someone to go with shoot me a text or msn
opening day is next weekend :S I don't think I'll be going until closer to December. Was thnking about heading up on free day, but not sure cause I don't want to book time off work.

zumvette 11-13-2008 05:47 PM

We got a lil bit of white stuff here, will be gone soon.

Side note we are moving a rig up to the North West Territories, yay. Picked up a load from edmonton back in Grande Prairie to help my Lie book I mean Log Book. Not sure how far we are going but thats a long treck.
