for the first time I wasnt able to buy a lottery ticket without id. I was told they id anyone under 30... but last time I checked I dont look 18 either. I was not gonna go out to the car to get id for that.

saucywoman 07-28-2008 07:28 AM

^^ just because you think you don't look 18 doesn't mean that you aren't for all they know. I work with someone who's just about 19 and I thought he was my age. I'm 25 and I still get asked for id. Yes sometimes I care but the way I look at it is they're just doing their job. It's really not that hard to walk out to your car to retreive your id, or better yet keep it in your wallet

Well, I talked to the HR person at my soon to be ex-employer. They have shut down the plant due to shitty market conditions and let everyone go. Found out that my severance is going to be $15,924. Not to bad for 3 1/2 years service.

I'm guessing that's on top of what WCB is paying you?

RRxtar 08-03-2008 02:43 PM

so walking between cheetahs and the zoo on wednesday my buddy said hello to 2 girls that walked by. next thing he knew, 2 big dudes threw him thru a window. something like 100 stitches and staples to put his arm and face back together..

unsurprizingly no witnesses came forward.

underscore 08-03-2008 03:40 PM

Yep, completely seperate from WCB. I'm not sure what I'll get for a payout from them. I've read on their website that for burns it's just a formula of $ X sq. inches of burned area = payout.

girlcrazy_420 08-04-2008 08:55 AM

Was this Jordan? I was walking with him. Ya he got pretty cut up. 20 staples and 38 stitches if I recall. That was the same night I got cuffed and thrown in the tank, like 10 min after that. Apprenently the owner has a witness of him falling thru but not being pushed, right. I felt bad for J-dog.

RRxtar 08-04-2008 04:57 PM

yep jordan

Boyd does quality work, their alignments are cheap, 60 or 70 I think, but it'll cost more if the car is really siezed up.

saucywoman 08-05-2008 09:39 AM

went to edmonton this weekend and each way I made it on a full tank of gas :D Gas out there was $1.23, I wish we were still that low :(

GreddyTalon 08-05-2008 11:10 AM

I wish 13yr olds looked the way they do today, when I was 13!

saucywoman 08-06-2008 05:00 PM

so driving home from the beach today I was stopped at the light at 6th ave. I heard a weird scapping sound, look over and see a biker on the ground in between a civic and a city bus; it turns out the bus driver ran into him and the guy ended up under the bus but managed to swing his legs out in time not to actually get ran over

saucywoman 08-06-2008 05:03 PM

Holy shit that's cheap, did you have to book it for a group to get that rate?
Which Island?

On Oahu. I keep checking tripres.com and then calling the hotel to see if they'll price match it. They did that back in May when I found it for $84 so I was hoping they'd do it again yesterday; which thankfully they did. It's only a 2 star hotel so I think the max the room goes for is $110 but since I was able to get it so low that means more spending money for me :)

my reservation also says "* Free upgrade to the next category/2pm late check out: All based on availability only." so I wonder if that means either the Diamond Head View Studio with Kitchenette or the Ocean View Studio with Kitchenette. If it's available I would rather have the oceanview with kitchenette

Underscore, thanks :) I can't wait. I've already got my seats assigned (window seat :) ). Only 80 more days

from the pics I've seen I'm not too worried. I figure as long as my bed and the bathroom are clean I'll be fine. For that low of a price I could honestly care less if I see a cochroach and if I do I'll prob ask to be moved into a diff room. I read through the reviews and don't recall any mention of cochroaches
