Samurai sushi is good too, my coworker used to work there.

sushi king house is exactly the same as samurai sushi -- same house rolls, same size, same price -- just that their quality is WAAAAY better. everything just tastes better at sushi king.

Sakae Sushi in Richmond. Best himachi ever! Have to order a day ahead to make sure there is some left. Plus their uni is great.

i remember i can wrap the fish around the rice 2-3 times.. thats how huge it is.. LOL..

yeh, its cheap.. your mouth will smell like fish if u eat too much

Pepe187 12-20-2004 09:11 AM

well, i think that the chef's dont have to be japanese but its always a bonus when they are. and at the marine drive sushi, he's japanese.

Look at it this way: Do Chinese cooks always make the best Chinese food? :D

yes, i don't expect some white or indian dude to make good chinese food.....likewise for a non-japanese to make good japanese food.....i'm not trying to be racist here or anything, just stating the facts.....i mean the food will come pretty damn close, but it's just the little details that make the difference

4DSC 12-21-2004 11:05 AM

...okay, fair enough and I DO see your point, but what I actually meant was that there are quite a few Chinese guys out there making Chinese food that tastes like total crap.

I went to a Mexican place in the US once run by a Mexican family or something, and it was awful...

Maybe it was awful becuase it's real authentic mexican food.
People think that chinese food is just chicken chow mein and friend rice. It's not. Chinese food is totally different from what people really think it is.
