haha i used to think shu shi ya was pretty good
then i went back a couple days ago n realized how crappy their food is

neways what do you guys think of tsunami sushi

nic1 10-02-2005 12:58 AM

all you can eat cannot be compared to sit down dinner... i mean if you are wanting for fast and cheap then go for all you can eat. if you stop and thnk about it all you can eat isn't even really that cheap. cause with the amount you are paying you can get a decent japanese meal that will fill you up. i mean say for 15$ you can go to a regular restaurant and order some cook dish and a few pieces of sushi then you are full but you have gotten to eat good quality food.

Takumi Sushi on North Road in Coquitlam

My gf and I enjoy that place. It's always very good.

(Actually the last time we went I ordered the sashimi and the tuna was still frozen in the middle but that's the first time in like 10 visits I thought it wasn't 100% great)

I need some good recommendation guys. I need to know of a good japanese restaurant that serves authentic high quality food. I heard Sakana and Chopstick are pretty good, but I want to know of a few really good traditional japanese restaurants incase we change our minds.

Gt-R R34 10-17-2005 04:56 AM

For an all you can eat place.. it's decent. The beef short ribs are really good.

xxxrsxxx 11-01-2005 08:06 PM

does fish on rice have all you can eat toro sashimi?

godwin 11-03-2005 01:37 AM

There is also Fuji Sushi in the Burquitlam plaza.. it is better than Takumi.. also Osamu sushi (open from new renovation)

There is also a sushi place in the Nikkei centre?

Neoxphuse 11-03-2005 05:09 PM

Well let's see...

Richmond Sushi, okay I would say.

The place I love is the one on Broadway and Arbutus, right below Fitness World. I go there all the time and haven't had a single problem. Fresh fish, great service. Very busy place at times.

$10 all you can eat lunch!

Love that place, too bad I live so far away or I would go much more often.

WhiteVitz 11-04-2005 02:19 AM

archpopoy 11-04-2005 10:31 AM

are you talking about the one on davie? because the people who work on cambie street are vietnamese.

tru2blu 01-20-2009 12:48 PM

kc1337 01-20-2009 12:54 PM

Fish on Rice ad Tomokazu both broadway locations are fair. This is to say the broadway location for each chain.

Those would be the two I would recommend atleast for AYCE.

kc1337 01-20-2009 01:10 PM

Thanks! The current ones i've been going to have been Kingsway Sushi on Kingsway and Boundary and Richmond Sushi. All this talk about sushi has made me realize I have yet to eat lunch. God I am hungry.

Jermyzy 01-20-2009 05:36 PM

I've heard that Sushi Hachi in Richmond is good. Anybody try it before, it's supposedly owned by a japanese couple? I was going to try it next month for my birthday

B4N M3 01-20-2009 05:48 PM

Robson Sushi haha...you can't beat stuffing yourself silly with good sushi for dirt cheap!
