I've been browsing the cirque de soleil site for tickets and it appears they don't let you print e-tickets. Instead, they require you to go to their ticket office one-hour prior to the show for tickets. What's the deal there? Anyone have experience buying show tickets online?

Where you staying + price?

Just checked MGM Grand for 4 nights, bout $330/each with a flight from Bellingham.

Chronix 11-07-2012 10:42 PM

I heard La Reve is way better than O.

I'm going to watch an adult show for the first night, still indecisive for the second night for shows but the gf wants to watch Blue Man Group on the last night which I totally not interested in. =\

I also switched from the Monte Carlo to Caesar's Palace for hotel. $373 includ. tax for Augustus deluxe king room. Hope to sandwich $20 for upgrade as well. lol

I thought "O" was ok. For cool feats of strength and acrobatics I'd rank Mystere higher. I expected more from "O" though... the beginning is cool but it tapers off into more storytelling than "whoa that's really cool!" type of stuff.

Staying at Vdara for 3 nights. A four day trip. About $440/each but flight from Vancouver

Thanks for the heads up guys! Will definitely look into trying out the $20 trick

Heyyo I'm headed to Vegas with a couple of buddies over NYE 2012!!! :woot2:

Unbelievably excited... We've been dreaming about this trip since the last year of high school and the time is finally upon us. Is anyone else here going???

HonestTea 11-14-2012 12:35 AM

Just pulled the trigger!

Hows this deal?

Dec 16(11am flight) - Dec 20(7am flight) at the Mirage, flying from Bellingham with 1 bag and $200 dine-in credit for $725/taxed in and everything for 2 people.

Edit: If you include the dine-in credit, that's like $525 for 2 people and $265.50/per person.

I've watched most of the Cirques and all those high end shows, and here's my list of which to watch keeping in mind I don't really like those Cirque shows. My wife loves them so I'll give you her list too.

Mine:
1) Absinthe
2) Blue Man Group
3) KA
4) O / Le Reve tied (both similar but different)
5) Mystere

Wife's
1) Absinthe
2) O / Le Reve
3) KA
4) Blue Man Group
5) Mystere

Absinthe is by far the best show we've both watched. Highly highly recommended.

Also, for most of the Cirque shows, there's a buncha 50% off codes at www.mycheapvegas.com

There's a 15% off for O i think but you'll never do better than that. Damn show's always sold out. Personally think it's overrated for the price.

Don't do it lol. You waste an entire day scheduling out your meals. I did it when it was $35 and I thought it wasn't worth it. You also feel like crap afterwards as well.

If you must do it,

1) Rio
2) Planet Hollywood
3) Paris

Only go to those, the others ones are terrible.

For everything else, rent a car and go to M Resort, they have the best value buffet around.

For strip buffets

1) Caesars(expensive though)
2) Wicked Spoon
3) Wynn/Bellagio

Again those are the premium buffets and are more expensive than the others.

Vale46Rossi 11-19-2012 11:19 PM

The Baccarat Buffet is pretty damn good lots of choices.

You can even buy a line pass for $15 so you don't have to line up as long.

Which is pretty damn worth it.

k3lv 11-20-2012 01:11 AM

Will be there Nov 27-30. Flying Alaskan staying at Treasure Island. Watching Mystere on the night we fly in so we don't have to plan the rest of the days around being back to watch the show. Traveling with lady friend, probs gonna attempt buffet once or twice, and maybe one place for a nice dinner, any recommendations for that?

Vale46Rossi 11-20-2012 10:36 AM

Nice dinner, you can go to Joel Robuchon.

Needs reservation more than 2weeks to a month in advance.

But with wine you'll be paying close to 300-400 per person.

sonick 11-20-2012 10:38 AM

L'Atelier might be a bit cheaper Robuchon restaurant being only 1 Michelin star vs 3 for Joel.

L'Atelier is amazing too, but will never beat Joel.

Also if you are wining and dining that girl and trying to hit homerun... Joel is the right place to be. haha

Really? I thought it was a great deal.

Best ones to go to are...
Rio
Caesars
Planet Hollywood
Harrah's (if you want to fight fewer people for food)

Paris is over-rated. Typical stuff you can find at any of the other buffets.

I just thought it'd be nice to go for an a la carte dinner vs buffet, maybe $50/head range. Don't need that michelin star shit lol I ain't made of money. Unless someone buys my car(link below)

+1

i just came back few days ago..

If you wanna do the 24 hr meal, rio for dinner, harrah for brunch and any other buffets for breakfast..

i didnt like paris, unless you are into french toast and stuff..

they used to have caesars in the 24 hr pass but now you have to pay extra 15 which we didnt do

bahaha got it.

50/head there are not too many choices tho.

But if you were to splurge on dinner, you won't regret any of the Robuchon.

The wolfgang pucks are not bad either and their prices are a lot more justifiable.

k3lv 11-22-2012 02:12 PM

Thanks SD I'll check em out!

pure.life 11-23-2012 04:33 PM

Heading out to LV tmr. Going to be checking out the following dinner buffets: Wicked Spoon @ Cosmopolitan, Buffet @ Bellagio and Wynn

Apparently, Aria Buffet is closed for reno until December :(

Does anyone have breakfast/lunch buffet recommendations?
