What's the dress code at Tao and XS? Do we need to be in dress pants and dress shoes? Am I gonna get in with dress shirt, jeans and regular shoes (not running shoes obviously, but a pair of diesels or chucks)?

chucks can be boarderline. Really depends on the group that you are going in with. Play it safe and wear dress shoes with your jeans and Dress shirt.

Don't even risk it with Diesels and chucks. Just dress up and wear BLACK dress shoes to all the popular nightclubs period. We got passes at TAO last Thursday (girls got us the free passes), lined up for 15 mins, and all of us were let through except for one buddy. The dick bouncer wouldn't let him in because he was wearing white leather shoes and thought it looked too much like 'sneakers'. He told us to either change, buy new shoes, or GTFO. Keep in mind, he wasn't the only one. They denied other dudes wearing chucks and loafers. Needless to say, we skipped TAO because we didn't wanna leave the buddy hanging and just went to Rhino's instead. They're pretty strict and we didn't even bother greasing them. There's just too much ass in the clubs to be missed because some dumbasses can't dress up properly.

Sweet thanks.

1 more thing. I want to go to both XS and Tao, and will be there on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Which nights would you recommend going to which club? I don't think Tao is opened on Sundays...We are probably going to be buying VIP tickets and not bottle service.

A group of our more baller friends are getting a table at XS though, are we allowed to check out the VIP and hang with them for a bit?

is there a way to calculate the fees if im bookin thru alligaint air ??

the ticket we were looking at thru expedia from 3 days 2 nite during Oct flying out from belingham for CAD $325.00 taxes included (Treasure island)

That's not 100% true, you're going to be paying $40 at Treasure Island above and beyond what expedia charged you. They charge a $20 p/night resort fee that is not negotiable.

Greenstoner 07-18-2010 12:04 AM

^ and thats the extra i pay when i check out from hotel ?

Correct, lots of hotels there charge a resort fee of varying amounts. There are some hotels that don't charge one, check back a few pages in this thread I posted a list of charges.

Tao Friday, XS Saturday. That's how a lot of groups of girls from California do it.

Just have your VIP friends escort you to their table and you should be fine.

Anyone got any tips for foods besides buffets? What about desserts?

Thanks!

There was another site I had before that had a list of VIP club hosts but I lost it :(

I just gave this guy a call and he said call him and when I get there and he'll get me and my friends in no problem...What does that mean? Am I going to have to pay him somehow? Seems sketchy. Anyone dealt with any Vegas promoters or hosts and have their contact info that can hook us up?

frost91 07-25-2010 09:04 PM

what do you mean by hook you up, do you want a table reservation? or do you just want to get in for free?

canucksfan 07-27-2010 08:33 PM

Get in without having to wait in line is the main thing, I don't mind paying cover.

I would get VIP tickets but it seems like it's a hit or miss, they might not let us in.

frost91 07-28-2010 12:16 AM

if your going on the weekend and you just want to get in....... stay at the hotel for the duration of your trip

thats probably the easiest way

justYU 07-28-2010 01:15 AM

I find it's usually cheaper to book separately.

Flights from Allegiant via Bellingham are the cheapest.

For hotel deals, sign up for the hotels' twitters, they often post up deals and specials there or if you tweet them they will respond with any deals they can offer.

Going again next weekend, 3rd time this year so far. Going for a Corvette rental from Hertz this time instead of my regular Mustang. Leaving Saturday afternoon, back Sunday night so it'll be a short one..

Typically cheaper when you book your flight and hotel together however, if your parents have a specific hotel not offered as part of a package deal then your only option is to book seperately. You may or may not end up saving.

XtC_13aBy 08-05-2010 09:06 PM

It also depends on whether you want direct flight or do a stop over which is usually cheaper.

I am going for the first time in the last week of August - so stoked!!

tacobell 08-09-2010 10:40 PM

wanting to go down during labour long weekend. Unfortunately alligiant air is not an option during that time since bellingham is repaving their runways. Where do you guys go for the best flight deals?
