if you have flexible schedule, check betterbidding.com for palazzo deal.. I've noticed some people getting it for 160 on sat night and believe me, that's killer deal for saturday night especially for the newest 5 star hotel in vegas

I just turned 21 :D

Check usairways.com and usairwaysvacations.com. It should be much cheaper flying out of Seattle.

Meowjin 01-24-2008 07:23 PM

thanks!

I've checked travel best bets but apparently the hotels that we were looking at (because my friend can only go during reading break) suck (imperial palace and ballys)

Bally's isn't THAT bad. It's a step up from the Flamingo and both their locations are perfect on the strip. I stayed at the Flamingo back in November. It's no Caesar's Palace but the location was great and you're only in there when you sleep.

If you can then fly out of Seattle because you'll save a lot. I remember checking airfare with Westjet from Vancouver to Vegas in November and it was $250 one way. Our trip (airfare + 4 nights stay) was $300USD haha

If you are going there, to save money and party it up, it doesnt really matter where you sleep right? so Bally's and Imperial Palace are no caesar's palace but the location is perfect. middle of everything!

If you are baller, you wouldnt ask/look for cheap deals anyways :) hv fun!

Ch28 01-25-2008 12:55 AM

^ You don't really sleep in Vegas anyways...I averaged 3-4 hours of sleep during the time I was there.

hi5-ive 01-25-2008 02:19 AM

HAHAHA yes

tru that

Alright, my friend and I are having a disagreement.

Pretty much were using allegiant air.

The 3 hotels are Luxor, Planet Hollywood and MGM Grand West Wing (or the signature)

Anyways were there from the 20th - 23rd of feb.

Ch28 01-28-2008 01:52 PM

^ Wait...you guys are staying at 3 different hotels or are those your choices?

Out of those 3 I'd go with Planet Hollywood cause they just finished renovations and they're in the middle of the strip. Luxor and MGM are all the way in the south

Meowjin 01-28-2008 02:29 PM

Yeah I'm pushing planet hollywood.

Ch28 01-28-2008 03:35 PM

Go for Planet Hollywood

Nice renovated rooms and the casino is nice

First visit in Vegas, I and my friends stayed in LUXOR HOTEL. I personally love it because the room is soo clean and huge. Plus, they have great staffs. We got free upgrade and free stuffs.

Second visit in Vegas, we stayed in MGM SIGNATURE. SO many reasons why I totally recommend MGM SIGNATURE.

1. VERY PRIVATE. You can actually hang out in the hotel lobby and just feel like at home.
2. It is a suite not a hotel room. Say hello to the kitchen, living room, jacuzzi and balcony.
3. WIRELESS INTERNET, 2 BOTTLE WATER FREE EVRYDAY, NEWSPAPER, PRIVATE GYM which has refrigerator with unlimited bottle water. (It is not really free since MGM will charge $15/night for these stuffs and it is mandatory).
4. They have really cute, pretty housemaids that will greet the visitors.
5. The staffs never failed to greet visitors.
6. The entrance gate is located in same street as Planet Hollywood.
7. It is connected to MGM GRAND

Other than that, I would suggests to rent a car in NEW YORK, NEW YORK for $20/day with 1000 miles/day to see outside of the strip.
6.

unKnown 01-28-2008 05:13 PM

MajinHurricane: go to either luxor or mgm, mgm sig is really nice as well if you don't want to have your ears ringing the slot machine sound 24/7.... its a little further however there is motorized walk way connecting the grand from sig. the pool at the mgm is also really nice.

lax is inside luxor so thats also a +

planet hollywood is meh.... nothing special

I did a quick search for a Gun range in Vegas and The Gun Store (http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/) came up the most. Is this the best one to go to? Any others I should check out?
Thanks.

l4d2_sarge 01-31-2008 02:18 PM

Went there in November and had a blast :D

It's pretty far from the strip though. Cab ride there and back is around $40-$50 depending on how fast/slow your driver is + tips you give

Meowjin 02-01-2008 12:37 PM

Booked planet hollywood.

So how much money should I bring? I got like 500 US from tips that I recieved last year in US... should I bring more?

Ch28 02-01-2008 01:50 PM

Depends if you're going to be doing a lot of gambling or not.

I brought about $600 with me and ended up spending about $300 of it. I think I spent most of it on cab fare and tips cause I ended up putting over $2k on my mastercard.

Meowjin 02-01-2008 08:26 PM

Damnit, Gambling is going to be the end of me then

Reason I'm asking is because I think I'm just bringing my visa and my 500, and try my hardest not to gamble.

Bring more cash if you're going to gamble and put your other expenses (food, shows etc) on your visa

Tell me what you think of the hotel - service, lobby, atmosphere, quality of rooms, amenities etc. The reason why I'm asking is I'm very curious as to how they justify their prices over the parent chain, Westin, just around the corner, however, I'm sure it's because of the property being on The Strip.

chinook79 02-02-2008 01:05 PM

pleasure pit in PH lol (dancing pole + bikini dealers)
the girls were shivering a lot ... make them look pity.. not sexy..
the poker dealer at PH were making insane money... I'd assume easily over 150~200k year range.. people tip crazy.. avg $3~5 every hand
they're pumping oxygen like crazy..
spice buffet was ok especially the dinner one.. alaskan king crab FTW..
lots of hookers everywhere especially at 2~3 in the morning..
90% of the girls in PH were pretty hot (except occasional c-lai)
the room was pretty clean.. 42" plasma tv with hot tub..
comfy beds..
locationwise, it's right across bellagio which is good if you like poker..

Ch28 02-02-2008 01:53 PM

The Venetian had the hottest cocktail waitresses of any property on the strip.
