all FANTASTIC photos!

Only comment is maybe a little too much bokeh on the last one..

niforpix 07-16-2007 10:15 PM

I like 'em. I like the colours in the 2nd one.

Looks like you focused on the eyebrows instead of the eyes?

^^^Very moody! I think it would be better without the vignette.

k.dub 07-17-2007 11:41 PM

How's this one? Straight out the camera no editing at all other than sharpening and cropped the bottom a little.

Tonal range is a little flat.

k.dub 07-18-2007 10:43 PM

Went to the Tour de Gastown and took some pics. Did take much cuz it was kinda dark and was hard to focus. Also I am starting to understand using only primes is not very efficient :( Its not very fun having to keep changing lenses; especially when it's raining

laurencepak 07-18-2007 10:54 PM

i am sure u can get away with primes

80 years ago people were shooting sports with their 4X5 cameras =P

then medium format

then 35mm SLR
(which still had to change films every 36 frames)

MikesJo 07-18-2007 11:03 PM

I see you like men's legs kendrick ;). Why weren't you in it?

bikerx 07-19-2007 12:15 AM

ColinK 07-19-2007 07:24 AM

I like them both! :)

niforpix 07-19-2007 09:48 AM

bikerx: is that Kevin riding? I heard he's waiting for his new bike to arrive, so in the mean time, he's riding a mod?

MikesJo 07-19-2007 09:53 AM

That last pic, was that all in one try or more than one? Cause the 2nd pic from the right doesn't look in place to me. Did he go from right to left or left to right, either way it doesn't look right. But damn that takes a lot of skill!

Senna4ever 07-19-2007 09:56 AM

No, the guy defied physics.

niforpix 07-19-2007 10:15 AM

That looks about right (I used to ride like that too, but now I'm too fat lol)... The way the pedal kick is done, the back wheel drops a bit and then as he's in mid air (you can see the 3rd position) he's knees bend to lift up the back and then he lands back down. There is so much power in a pedal kick he could've easily landed on the other end of that cement block. And he was going from right to left :)

MikesJo 07-19-2007 10:45 AM

Cool, didn't know :). So you have to have a lot of upper body muscle to pull the whole back up in mid-air I'm guessing?
