A friend from edmontons. I was also shooting with his rollei, with a p10 back and a schneider 80mm f/2.8 posted in my previous post.

^ Film? What did you do in photoshop?

Mclaren, nice firework pics :).

popnGEAR 07-26-2007 03:16 PM

Pic was taken with a Rebel XT, 28-105mm 3.5/4.5F.

Photoshop post process included color balancing (made skin warmer, everything else cooler for better contrast), soft blur layer set to screen on bright areas and painting the background darker on the right side for more "popping".

MikesJo 07-26-2007 03:42 PM

The pic doesn't look very sharp. I like your avatar. Make it yourself?

popnGEAR 07-26-2007 04:17 PM

yeah, it could be a lot sharper :( just something i took last year without much thought...i plan on taking many more this summer so hopefully i improve.

the avatar is manga spidey (not mine)

^ Nice shot. A tad too dark though imo. Lost a lot of detail in the blacks. Wheels and under the front of the bike. I know you made it darker to make it pop but if you could recover some detail that'd be even better :).

Mugen_z 07-27-2007 02:46 PM

I know what you mean...I didn't bring all my lights with me...it was shot hand held inside an underground garage with little lights. I guess I could do some touch ups on photoshop.

Thanks for your comment.

^ i got confused if it was mike or justin who took it due to the sudden signature change in the picture haha

MikesJo 07-28-2007 06:15 PM

What do you think. There's a reason why I used that one vs. mine, lol.

dub.dub 07-28-2007 06:22 PM

lol, i thought u took it, but now that u mentioned, i guess justin took it ><

MikesJo 07-28-2007 06:32 PM

I don't like taking credit for other people's work :).
