GFunk how did you edit them to get that look? Did you use Lightroom or some other photo editing software?
I've been wanting to get that color for a while but couldn't figure out how.

Thanks

Thanks

looks like cross processing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_processing

you can do it in lightroom pretty easily, just google lightroom preset cross process. and then tweak it till you like.

http://www.jpdodelphoto.com/blog/?p=339

or in photoshop

asian_speedster 04-04-2009 12:18 PM

^ Sweet thanks!

Mananetwork 04-04-2009 06:20 PM

Lightroom's cross processing is limited. You get a lot more flexibility in Photoshop.

Thanks guys, I actually had those old national geographics in mind when I was working on that action.

Asian_speedster: Usually I'm pretty accommodating with letting people know about my post processing steps but for this one I'd like to keep it to myself. Hope you understand

here's another

That looks nothing like cross processing. Actually looks more like improperly stored old Kodachrome, or faded Polaroid.

Yeah it wasn't cross processing that I was going after. It was the faded polaroid that I had in mind. I didn't know what kodachrome was until Soundy posted it but it could be that too as Senna mentioned

lilaznviper 04-05-2009 05:32 PM

^^Please learn to rescale, we don't need to see it any bigger than 800x pixels.
