Just got my camera a few weeks ago and this is one of the first photos I took. Had to take it quickly so I missed part of his head.

That last shot would be amazing, but for the dead space on the right. I find the image is a bit unbalanced because the couple is dead centre, and they take up too little space in the frame: I would have cropped in more. The sunset would be better if it were under-exposed a bit more to make it more dramatic and colourful, but hindsight is 20-20. I'm sure the couple was happy with the shot though. :)

Nah. We got them spayed and neutered (brother and sister) so they had to wear those cones for 2 weeks... :( I guess pictures came out cute tho lol:D

Great shot... but actually, it's not Venus moving, it's the fact that the moon's position in the sky changes so much day-to-day.

thanx, and i agree. it was sunrise actually, at 5:30am last day of the trip and coincedentally last shot of the trip... i was tired as hell :( i'll see if i can re-edit it to bring out some more color and crop.

no, it was venus moving :) at half a second exposure while the moon was perfectly sharp i was getting motion blur from venus. shot on a tripod with shutter release.

niforpix 03-11-2009 10:39 AM

My attempt from last night... Nowhere near as awesome as Senna's, but then again, I don't have access to all the kick-ass gear that he does ;)

I really like the last one except that there is a little piece showing on the left and a little piece cut off on the right. Otherwise a great shot :)

Exactly what I was thinking. Last pictures the best, but you cut off two bells.

Nikon D300 + 400mm f2.8 VR + 2x TC. Exposure: 1/400 sec, f5.6, 200 ISO.

I wanted to take this last night when the Moon was full. Tonight it had 97% coverage and I also lost sharpness due to the TC.

Ok, that's just sick... Even with the TC your image is so much sharper than mine... :(

So I learned today how to zoom in on objects that are behind and blur everything else. Pretty cool haha.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3468/...cf1cbd6253.jpghttp://farm4.static.flickr.com/3561/...2ba752b62a.jpg

Next thing to do is taking pictures of animals, moving objects, and people. :D

niforpix 03-12-2009 04:37 PM

Yes... quite cool...

Armind 03-12-2009 05:20 PM

Left: Pretty cool
Right: Don't really know where to focus, the image is too "busy"

!Nhan 03-12-2009 05:45 PM

Right one..I thought it looked cool haha. It's supposed to be focusing on the plant that's somewhat hidden by the leaves of the one in front.

lilaznviper 03-12-2009 07:09 PM

hint on how to do it haha i can never get it right

!Nhan 03-12-2009 07:48 PM

my buddy was using thae AV mode or something on his canon xs. pretty much lower the aperture to lowest and shoot lol

underscore 03-12-2009 09:17 PM

I try to do that but it's hit and miss on my camera. at least for me.

I like your left shot better, the right shot takes too long to realise there actually is something in focus
