Wow, neat!

very very cool, i was like.. when did casio come up with a watch likethis.... and then reailzed it was an apple love it!

Gerbs 01-16-2023 09:21 AM

Tudors up 7% in their prices.

No longer have the itch to buy a watch lol. Going to dm 2 folks about a used BB58 39 and 41mm, see if I can get it for sub $3,500.

bcrdukes 01-16-2023 09:42 AM

Price on Tudor can still be negotiable. Someone at the Vancouver Tudor store managed to get 30% off on a Tudor 925, but it sure ain't no BB58.

Gerbs 01-16-2023 11:28 AM

That silver / ghost one is pretty desirable from my knowledge.

If we can get it for that price, that'd be sick.

SkinnyPupp 01-17-2023 12:07 AM

So tempted to buy one of those fake Cpt. Willard with the NH35 movements just to tide me over until I can afford a watch I really like, like real reissue or a Hamilton or something WutFace

Well not fake since they don't have a Seiko logo, but you know

Badhobz 01-17-2023 06:34 AM

do it!
if it ties you over and you enjoy it, who cares. Just dont lie to yourself, thats the most important part.

SkinnyPupp 01-17-2023 06:47 AM

The thing I don't like is the lume colours don't really match.. hands, numbers, bezel are 3 different shades of green

I mean for less than $100 it's fine but.. eww lol

I'll go see if some retail shop is selling these. I've seen stores selling "homage" watches from weird Chinese brands, but never looked twice at them.

Badhobz 01-17-2023 07:18 AM

dude youre in hong kong, take a quick ride over to shenzhen and im sure they can point you to the right direction for 10000% accurate knock offs that are so authentic looking you'll need a loop just to see the difference.

but uhhh you might need to bring a chinese friend otherwise they think this gewilo is trying to snitch on their operation.

SkinnyPupp 01-17-2023 04:15 PM

Definitely would choose a non brand that looks like a real watch over one that is actually trying to fake people out with a fake logo

His wife might think he's seeing a mistress. :troll: (Kidding)

I bet SZ is a lot different than it was 2 years ago, as the borders just opened for the first time last week. You have to sign up at a website since they're limiting how many people can go back and forth.

Actually the last time I was in mainland China at all (other than transit at an airport) was almost 10 years ago. The difference between that time and my first trip 10 years before that was incredible, and I bet it's changed a lot since then too. That was when you first started seeing those ghost towns and enormous dead malls, and now we hear that the population has been declining pretty rapidly (and that's not taking covid into account). It really feels like the bubble is about to burst.

Sorry for the digression

The watch I'm looking at rn is a ripoff of the Hamilton from Interstellar...

Only because nobody has done the Tenet watch yet lol (though I'm not a fan of the double branding here so a knockoff might actually look better)

Hamilton basically has all my styles covered - big pilot watches, field watches, or blacked out divers.

Badhobz 01-18-2023 09:31 AM

Its so damn dark

SkinnyPupp 01-18-2023 02:49 PM

Yeah I'd have to see how legible it is in person. Sometimes the numbers are really shiny so they are very visible at an angle in the light

Badhobz 01-19-2023 02:39 PM

Seems like an okay deal

I just spent some lai see and I'm about to join the club boys. Spent all day shopping for watches, looking at every price range from $50 to $500. I just have the bug. Now I just have to wait for shipping

Can you guess what I got based on my previous posts?

Some clues:

Spoiler!
