My controllers all fucked up now too, when I hit the button to turn it on it doesn't connect to my PS3, it just sits there blinking all 4 lights. even after I turn the PS3 on manually I have to plug the controller in for it to connect, and it disconnects when I unplug it, it I hold the PS button to turn it off it flips off before I finish hitting the turn off button and the screen tells me to connect the controller.

This is all on my 2 month old Slim and Dualshock 3 :(

Lol, that's your controllers running out of battery power. Go charge it. :)

underscore 11-22-2009 10:56 AM

I was only 1 bar down when Uncharted froze, later I turned it back on but it would only sync up when plugged in so I played the last 4 chapters like that, then after I finished the game it was still messed up. I tried it in another PS3 and it was all weird, when I turned off the other PS3 the controller stayed lit as player 1 and turned on my Slim :S. But oddly now it works fine, which is good because my only real concern was that my Slim was messed but I guess it's fine.

This happened to me too on my 2 month old slim as well. My controllers are fully charged. I turned on my ps3 using the controller but it kept on blinking. I thought it was odd so I I plugged in the usb cable to sync the controller, it recognized it right away but when I took the usb cable out, it started to blink again. I figured out that if you manually turn off the ps3 then turn it on again with the controller if this happens then it'll work. I wonder if this has to do with the recent firmware upgrade because thats when it started after I upgraded the firmware and there were no problems at all prior to that

underscore 11-22-2009 08:55 PM

I'm not sure, I think it must be something with the new firmware but it only seems to happen once, I can turn the controller and console on in any order now and it works but it definitely takes longer than before to sync up and give my controller a number.

JKam 11-22-2009 09:53 PM

Maybe you have some bluetooth interference? If you have your other ps3 still it might not know which one to connect to.

Nah my older 60 gig is gone now so can't be the case

twitchyzero 11-23-2009 09:05 AM

i think you need to have it plugged it before turning it on in order to sync properly

I tried that as well. I tried not having it plugged in and having it plugged in, doesnt make a difference. I bet its due to the firmware upgrade but why only to the slims?

underscore 11-23-2009 11:46 AM

I'm assuming the Slim has a different BT setup than the Fat, I know the ones in the Fats are pretty much all the same.

ienhz 11-29-2009 10:42 AM

god damn, i'm getting the controller sync issue on my slim too. the only way to fix it is to turn off the system with the power button, turn it back on with the same button, and THEN turn on your controller. seems like they always mess things up everytime a new firmware gets released. here's hoping the next 200mb update we'll have to download fixes it.

twitchyzero 11-29-2009 10:52 AM

my 80GB HDD is starting to run out of space...i only have 2 demo's and ~14 game installs with only about 12GB's left. I keep any installs if I still own the game.

had to delete most of my demo and movies...I have to leave my movies/tv shows on my external now
