Anyone getting the lara croft game coming out on the 29th?

I thought the same thing when I played Pilgrim lol. Shank looks pretty cool though, I'll give that a try.

question; is buying the PS3 move bundle worth it since it has 320 GB and the other stuff?

twitchyzero 09-17-2010 08:55 PM

hdd space is not really a concern for most ppl (since 160gb is plenty for avg user)...it depends if you think you will be into motion games..i would personally wait until late november as they may add a game or 2 to this bundle.

Grandmaster TSE 09-18-2010 01:48 AM

you can always swap out the harddrive in your ps3 for a bigger one

van19 09-19-2010 12:06 AM

Is it possible to change your PSN ?

twitchyzero 09-19-2010 09:24 AM

PSN screen name? no

Leopold Stotch 09-19-2010 03:13 PM

is it possible to swap out my old ps3 hdd and make it an auxilary one and use it for saved data? as i have some stuff on there i want to save for my games. but the ps3's dead.

terkan 09-19-2010 04:21 PM

i dunno isn't the ps3 hdd and file link to the ps3? if u take it out and put it on another ps3 i think i'll ask you to reformat it in order to use it.. i might be wrong on that

Yes you can use it as an external one, you can't directly save to it but you can save your game -> copy to the external and delete the original on the console. then to play again, copy back to console and play.

Anything currently on the drive though, you probably can't get back. If you stick a HDD directly into another PS3, it will get formatted for the new PS3. I can think of a few ways to try and get it back, but I currently lack the second PS3 that I'd need to try it.

Also what's wrong with your PS3? I repair them and may be coming down to Van again soon.

twitchyzero 09-20-2010 09:39 AM

i'm curious i know many save files are protected and the only way is to use the data transfer utility.

is it possible to pull the older HDD out and create an image on the PC..and mount that onto the newer HDD and voila?

I've been looking up ps3 gaming headsets. I'm either going to get Astros or Trittons. Does anyone have any experiences to share with either brands of headsets?

JSALES 09-20-2010 01:35 PM

well I don't think you can mount the whole drive image per se, as that will still be coded for the PS3 it was originally from. But what I'd like to try doing is playing around with trying to copy a save file or something using a PC, and see if it's possible to muddle with the files and get the improperly transferred save files working. There's a few other things I'd like to try as well, but I'll need a second PS3.

I'm interested in something surround sound that also won't disturb people around me.

Something like this

I own this one:
http://store.gameshark.com/viewItem....idCategory=317

Best money I've spent by a long shot, gaming wise. Makes every game that much more enjoyable, and I can turn the sound up at night without waking others in the house. You can use them with, PS3, Xbox 360 (have to buy a dongle), PC, home theatre. Each ear piece has 4 speakers. Has front, rear, centre, and a sub. You can control each one individually, so when playing FPS, I crank everything, and turn the Sub down so I don't get so much bass from explosions and gunfire, and can hear footsteps clear as day. Highly recommend this headset. Only downfall is you need to have it plugged into an outlet, it needs it's own power source.

Exactly! I'm talking about FPS. I want a headset before Black Ops comes out
