John Wick Chapter 2: 10/10
I thought it was better than the first (which is a rare thing to happen) Non-stop entertainment, not once did I ever have the urge to look at my watch or feel that I wasn't being entertained.

You watched all these war movies in a binge?

jlo mein 02-15-2017 04:02 PM

Hacksaw Ridge 6/10

Really liked the back story part in the first third of the movie. Hugo Weaving is absolutely fantastic as the father. Teresa Palmer plays a great charismatic role. There's also a sad scene involving Andrew Garfield that really sold me on his performance.

I just can't get over how cheesy Mel Gibson makes all the action scenes. There's so much fantasy and Hollywood spin and it takes away from how powerful the movie could have been.
Particularly awful moments:
Spoiler!

Great production quality, music message seems lacking. Usual Disney story.

I enjoyed it as did my wife.

Arrival 10/10 with a good sound system with lots of low end bass.

Who ever did the sound design did an amazing job. Watching this using TV speakers will not do this movie justice. I have a 21 inch sub with 2000 watts and I heard things from my system I had never heard before. The chopper scene is nuts.

Hush 8/10
it's on netflix (US)
deaf girl home alone chased by a killer from outside, not bad to say the least, it was 4 stars so we gave it a chance.

Arrival 9.5/10 - I can see why the critics adored it. Visuals, sound, acting; all on point. The overall feel of the movie was fantastic. Loved the storyline.

Lego batman.

actually not that half bad. Didn't find it as epic funny as Lego movie but it did its job.

9/10

I don't know if I was in the wrong mindset to watch it but I didn't enjoy Arrival at all and I kept looking at my watch wondering when it was going to end.

Great Wall: 8.25/10
