Split 8/10
great acting by James McAvoy
totally amazing scenes with him.
Yes I know it's M Night Sham's movies and we all hope for a twist. The movie worked out well overall. I thought it was done really well. Was it a thriller, not really, was it a suspenseful a bit. Again, praise James for choosing such a great role.

Hidden figures.

African women who were the mathematicians at NASA during the 1st launch of the astronauts.
surprisingly it was legit and good 8/10

ilovebacon 05-14-2017 11:10 PM

the great wall. tons of cgi and effects. the storyline is alright for an action movie. 8/10

Night Moves(2013) 6/10
Terribly slow pacing, incredibly anti climactic, predictable, and edgy as hell. Acting from dakota fanning, skarsgaard and eisenberg was pretty damn solid. The tension was well built and the way the first half of the story worked its way out was very interesting but it left me wanting more mystery and suspense, instead i got some paranoid worrisome crap that sluggishly dragged the second half of the movie.
The Graduate(1967) 10/10
Perfect characters, perfect acting, so many memorable scenes, masterful montages, best ending in a romcom ever, artful framing and lighting and the costumes and setting were all timeless. This movie is just as good now as it was back then.

Goosebumps 7/10.

Not as fun as when I was 9 but still classic. I can watch it and fall asleep now, much improvement from when I was 9 lollol

Beauty and the Beast 2017 - 1/10

If you are familiar with the animated version from 1991, this movie, in comparison, is a steaming pile of moldy shit. Unless you're familiar with the original, every action characters make lacks motivation, and they do what they do because it was in the original movie.

ilovebacon 05-20-2017 01:59 AM

Rocky Balboa's - 7/10 even though the fight is scripted the inspiration moments is quite interesting

gilly 05-23-2017 10:44 AM

4/10 Beauty and the Beast

Emma was the only reason the movie got a number out of 10.

See, this is why real-life remakes are stupid.

If you don't stick the original, people will bitch and complain that they've ruined a classic.

If you copy the original, people will bitch and complain that it's exactly the same and therefore terrible.

What's also stupid is they make so, so much money. I suspect Disney will inevitably do real life remakes for a lot, if not all of their iconic cartoon movies.

SkinnyPupp 05-23-2017 05:06 PM

Beauty and the Beast was fine. It was a neat reimagining of the original. I don't see why anyone would complain one way or the other. What did you expect?

If you watched it at home I can see how that can be more disappointing though

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 8/10

gilly 05-25-2017 12:40 PM

John Wick 2

9/10 - Very entertaining.

Verdasco 05-25-2017 10:29 PM

guardians of the galaxy 2

8.5/10

would give it more if it had more actions and more tits of the golden girls

white rocket 05-26-2017 07:21 AM

Logan 9.7/10 - wow, what a spectacular movie. Not what I was expecting at all. All kinds of emotion throughout the movie. These R-rated superhero movies are what I've been waiting for since I was a kid. Not a perfect 10 as there was 3 CGI scenes that I spotted and kinda went "meh". Other than that, it one of the best drama/action movies I've ever seen.

Alien Covenant: 7/10

Not bad, but has some plot holes that just creates questions about the movie and alien universe

Mr.Money 05-26-2017 10:53 PM

Alien Covenant: 7/10

Spoiler!

kross9 05-27-2017 02:03 PM

Found it quite enjoyable! 7.5/10.

The series isnt over yet before the start of 'Alien'. Still to many questions on how the eggs got on the alien ship that the 'Nostromos' found
(if you get what i am saying without spoiling it)

Alien (1979)
9.5/10

I can't imagine watching this in 1979. Practically a flawless sci-fi horror movie.

John Wick 2
7/10
The first one was better, this was pretty good

604STIG 05-30-2017 09:32 AM

Baywatch: 6/10

I saw alien when I was like 7 years old and it gave me nightmares lol. Awesome movie for a 70s film.

iwantaskyline 05-31-2017 10:35 AM

Alien Covenant: 4/10

Poorly written. It had more "people doing stupid shit" scenes than Prometheus. 80% of their problems could be avoided if the Weyland group had a competent HR team hiring astronauts with at least average IQ.

A few of the "people doing stupid shit" is in the spoilers.

Spoiler!

They also chose the shittiest setting for the planet; some random lake in Vancouver BC.

WutFace you qualify that statement "for a 70s film". Some if not MOST of the greatest movies of all time were "70s films"

E.D.C.5 05-31-2017 08:20 PM

Fast 8 - 6.5-7/10

Imo, it just doesn't feel right anymore. Don't get me wrong, the actions are there but the plot is meh. Towards the middle of the movie, I even thought about not watching it anymore
