^Saw them at Dutil over the weekend, it's like.. green with indigo weaves over top. Kinda hard to explain.

G 02-08-2012 10:00 AM

From the pictures, it seems like its a very light green unlike the green selvedge's which were very dark green...

Any good locations someone can suggest to hem jeans?

Thanks in advance!

fuck... left my n&f's to soak overnight and after I dried it, its got a sour smell now... what to do? febreeze?

PJ 02-08-2012 06:35 PM

^ :heckno: Febreeze.. give it a shot I guess
Might be time for a wash.

instantneedles 02-08-2012 06:40 PM

i just gave it a soak though T_T

G 02-08-2012 07:07 PM

Freezer method? Heard it doesn't really help in getting rid of smells. Maybe try putting it in a plastic bag and frebreeze it then leave it there so it soaks in? If not you might have to re wash lol

i dont think ill be putting jeans in my freezer any time soon... but does anyone know the science behind the freezer technique?

G 02-08-2012 07:25 PM

Supposed to "freeze" and kill all the bacteria on the jean which would ultimately minimize the bad odors.

Thats pretty interesting. Do they use the old school Singer machine like Selfedge? Or better yet any pix of the repairs?

Self Edge is Denim

Thanks!

PJ 02-08-2012 09:32 PM

@G, if it's brandless, when in doubt, check out aldo lol

Both pairs of jeans are dead now. I ruined them beyond repair while longboarding last spring, so no pics :/ .

I don't know what machine they used, but I suppose you can always give them a call for more info.

I quite literally got home around an hour and a half ago from getting my jeans hemmed at Albert's Tailor downtown. It took around 10 minutes and cost me $9.

for the sake of quality and a money's worth, I disagree regardless of brandless or not

PJ 02-09-2012 09:03 PM

Depends what you're looking for.
A while ago I just wanted a pair of plain grey slip ons. Couldn't care less about the brand. Picked them up on sale there for $25

Didn't he move? where is he now?

insomniac 02-09-2012 10:26 PM

Super noob here.

I always get perfect sizing for my jeans but picked up a cheap pair of nice jeans the other day but it's boot cut :(
I know the hemming question has been asked but Is there a way I can get the boot cut converted to skinny jeans? If so where and how much?
