Did you size down? There are no rules, you can do whatever you want so if you feel they are loose then go ahead and give them a soak.

Skittlez160 02-18-2012 11:01 AM

Hhhmmm maybe I'll give it a shot then. I just don't want to screw them up somehow haha.

unit 02-18-2012 12:07 PM

sure but they'll just stretch back within a short period of time anyway.

Kilinim 02-18-2012 12:13 PM

Just got a pair of 14.5 oz Unbranded for $33 at Metro Plenty.

Yeah true say.

Oddly enough though. I did a hot soak on a pair of cheap (and I mean cheap) raw denim jeans from the states and the tightness/"shrink factor" has kept for quite some time. I wonder if it'll yield the same results on better quality denim?

Energy 02-18-2012 03:23 PM

Hmm to minimize stretching you have to size down a lot. I also find that entry level raw denim stretches and loses their shape more compared to more expensive options.

^True that.

My Unbranded stretched out like over a whole size

areyounoob 02-18-2012 05:02 PM

When you guys talk about stretching, do you mean stretching only in the waist or throughout the jean? On my N&F denim it stretched a shitload in front of the knee and thighs, as well as the waist.

Do you guys say that's because of the denim or because of my tendency to bend my knees alot?

BinsentoW 02-18-2012 05:06 PM

It depends on how tight it is too. If its tight around your thighs, it will stretch more than if its loose.

what about these? Think they are any good?
Selvage authentic fit jeans (rigid rinse) | Gap

$35 selvage denim O_O? got two pairs to try out myself

if link doesnt work... go to gap website, then hit sale, then jeans... lots of sizes left it seems... free ship over $50 add a filler or something or two pairs :)

or these
http://www.gapcanada.ca/browse/produ...d=1&pid=852736
for $15.74 non selvage...

woob 02-19-2012 10:16 PM

The sale cuts looks ugly (for my body type, at least). They've got what looks to be loose cut, a boot cut, and a straight cut. If they had a nice slim taper, I'd love to try it, but my legs aren't muscular enough for those kinds of cuts and I prefer small leg openings.

Thanks for the heads-up, though. Might buy a pair of washed denim.

Renxo 02-19-2012 10:34 PM

free returns in any store..cant hurt to try em for such a price thats my take on it. ordered 2 selvage n 1 non selvage... wonder how many i'll keep?

PJ 02-19-2012 10:42 PM

Holy baggy, batman.

But if more relaxed fitting is your thing, then $35 is worth a shot.

G 02-19-2012 10:57 PM

size down like 10 sizes for those ones lolol

Renxo 02-19-2012 11:17 PM

I couldn't size down any further lol. If I did I wouldn't be able to close the top button. But according to the guy at Dutil, that's normal and people buy jeans that they can't close at initial purchase. I don't know how comfortable I am with that idea.

unit 02-20-2012 08:53 AM

im a 32 i bought the apc NS im wearing right now in a 30.
couldnt button up the top 2 for like a week. this was maybe 2-3 years ago.
right now they fit perfect which is hard for most apc owners to say.

areyounoob 02-20-2012 02:42 PM

Ended up copping jbxmomo 0100SP :fullofwin: :okay:
It's like an N&F Skinny Guy fit but with an inch bigger waist. Going to go finish up this week with my N&F denim, then a machine wash, then hanging them up for good.

Here's some pics of my Samurai S0510XXs which I've been wearing for about 4 years in rotation:

Never washed. Probably soaked about 3 or 4 times.

Lol my left pocket where I leave my change has a hole in it too so even if I manage to get my hands in the actual pocket liner, small change ends up dropping out down my pant leg haha
