If not Broken Twill go for the spring styles. Don't go for the E2s unless you know you'll be wearing them in the beating sun and won't mind a bit of sweat.

Something I noticed is that the people that wear the lighterweight raw denim don't complain about their jeans smelling like shit. Might be just me though. That's probably one of my better points about N&Fs 12oz denim. While I'd love to get some E2s, the thought of me washing them every 3 months cause they've gotten stinky really pushes me away from them.

RevYouUp 01-31-2012 09:16 PM

hmm yea :suspicious:..dont want sweaty ass balls in the summer, Im probably gonna go with the broken twills

JACKED 01-31-2012 10:06 PM

Does Blackmarkers sell legit clothes? (srs).

I dont understand how they have 3sixteen jeans for $100 less, no sale or anything. I'm a little hesitant tbh

G 01-31-2012 10:07 PM

@RevYouUp Greencast! Or Hemps!

Yea I was pretty excited when I saw them for that price too. But they never have it in stock, so I can only assume they won't carry them. If they did, definitely not at that price.

Broken Twill usually fades faster if that is something you value.

G 01-31-2012 11:21 PM

Pssssssssst, someone buy my momo collabs so that I can buy my greencasts....

:okay:

What is the difference between Broken Twill, Left hand twill, and Right hand twill? Is there a difference on how it feels and the outcome of the fades?

If you want fast faders go with any APC denim. I know through experience that those things fade really fast.

Got some jeans for sale, I guess my waist got way bigger and these never even fit me sigh...

Sz 32 BNWT Skinny Guy Deep indigo $130
Sz 32 WASHED 2x Skinny Guy Black Power Stretch $70
Sz32 Slight Fading Skull 5010xx 5x5 Indigo $240

The skulls are pretty rare, original production run, crazy fading potential!

Do people actually want to model around their shop just to win a gift cert? Kinda weird.

instantneedles 02-02-2012 09:34 PM

hey why not? ppl are already dropping multiple stacks on these jeans... might as well put them to use..

G 02-02-2012 11:22 PM

dutil.'s 2012 "Fade February" Contest

Do you feel like you've got the best raw denim fades around? Would you the chance to win a pair of jeans from Nudie, Levi's, or Railcar? Then wear your jeans in our denim walk-off to determine who will be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner.

How to enter the contest?

We will be taking email submissions from February 1st to February 21st, just send a picture of your jeans to the store where you can participate in the walk-off:

dutilto@dutildenim.com

Vancouver:
dutil@dutildenim.com

You will be required to model your jeans on February 25th at 5:00 pm in a denim walk-off to be considered for one of the prizes. We'll have a special panel of judges to determine the best fades.

There are only 15 available spots available at each dutil. location. They will fill up fast ... so hurry up!

Wonder if any contestants sandpaper their creases to enhance fades

RESN 02-03-2012 10:29 AM

Yeah that does seem kind of weird to be in a walk off for a pair of Levis :lawl:

areyounoob 02-03-2012 12:35 PM

I wouldn't mind some railcar denim :fullofwin: but my fades aren't even worth the look.

The jeans on the left look like N&F Hemp Blends :suspicious: interesting....

Pretty much. Lighter indigo with a green undertone. Not my cup of tea personally, but it would be something cool and new to try.
