I wasn't much of a Sundin fan as well but I didn't hate the guy either. I was, however, pretty ecstatic when he finally came here. I honestly don't think he was jerking people around. I think it was the way it ended in TO that made him wonder if he still would enjoy the game. I guess it would be kinda like you or I hating our job and contemplating if we be happy at another company doing the same thing. Quote:

After the mess ier fiasco, who would get excited again about a player past his prime coming to town and saving the hockey team? Honestly, I'd much rather get excited about players like Kesler and Burrows developing into great players in front of our eyes. I know it's off topic from what was being talked about.
The naysayers could have easily been right, you know. I think Sundin is starting to change people's mind. He sounds to me like an honourable kind of guy. Messier, IMHO, was just a jerk. Especially, towards the end of his career when he thought he was god. Anyway, the Canucks are back on track and that, guys, is a good thing. I can go to work happy and not kick the dog and yell at everybody. LOL.
| I wouldn't say that TO fans became awesome now. I think they just showed class toward a guy that played for them so long. I wish I could say the same about some of the fans that go to Canuck games. Fans here have done some pretty classless acts at GM Place. IE, boo-ing the American anthem or at Team USA Jr kids. I know there's more, that one is the freshest in my mind ATM.
Although I think Calgary fans have always been the hated ones. Since Canucks/Flames have arguably the biggest rivalries in the league. Quote:
