So frustrating to see Detroit capitalize on the mistakes Chicago's making - the same mistakes we weren't able to capitalize on.

Hondaracer 05-20-2009 03:12 PM

well DET pretty much preys on chances like those and make you pay time after time

So frustrating to see Detroit making easy connecting passes; instead of the ping-pong of possession one thinks is normal of hockey when one watches a Canuck game.

Apparently Rob and Scott want to finish their careers at home in BC.

Source: Team1040

EDIT: Apparently Scott Neidermayer has already said he will make his decision on wheather he will play VERY SOON and not extend it like before. Playing the olympics (and likely being captain) in his hometown will also play into his decision.

Also, if they were to join the Canucks, it would be as soon as NEXT SEASON

Update: Niedermayers' Agent On 1040:

- Coming to Vancouver is "Definitely a possibility"

- Scott WILL make his decision about playing before the draft

- It is NOT essential that both players play the on same team

- They had extended discussions with the Canucks in the post-lockout year about Scott Neidermayer, but cap issues hurt the negotiations

- Scott very much wants to play in the Olympics next year

Overall, the agent sounded very optimistic that Scott and/or ROB could very well end up in Canucks uniforms next year. Also, note that their agent is based in Vancouver, so he likely knows the canucks organization very well.

I would love to see Scott Niedermayer play in a Canucks uniform.

d1 05-20-2009 05:57 PM

Scott on a 1 year, home province discounted deal = sick

jigga250 05-20-2009 06:05 PM

I'll take Scott, no Rob. Guy is a winner.

Unless he's done, I believe Sakic will still have that title and if not him, I thought it'd be Iginla but I guess Niedermeyer is a good candidate.

WONDERFUL, why don't we have the whole 2002 Canada Olympic Hockey team play for the Canucks. While we are at it, why don't we pull Lemieux and Yzerman out of retirement and we'll be stacked!!!

CANUCKS 4 CUP!!

zomg hodgson + jvr

hope we don't trade though. . .

+1 for scott nieds

trip 05-20-2009 07:18 PM

gotta admit that sounds pretty tempting

pure.life 05-20-2009 07:20 PM

The trade looks good. Imagine Carter, JVD and Hodgson ^^

We have Schneider... I think Lui is expendable if we get some fire power in return.

d1 05-20-2009 07:24 PM

Sound far-fetched. Carter, JVR, 1st for Luo would be good though.

Harvey Specter 05-20-2009 07:26 PM

That would be a killer deal for the Canucks.

murd0c 05-20-2009 07:29 PM

whats so special about JVR?

BlackV62K2 05-20-2009 07:33 PM

I would give up Lu for that.

Lude S 05-20-2009 08:16 PM

bye bye lu.......lol

CRS 05-20-2009 08:27 PM

Who is JVR?
