You mean unlocked? Do you have Paypal? I'm pretty sure you can get unlock codes on eBay. If not, look on Craigslist. There's a ton of places that'll do it for you. Worst case, get one of your buddies to get it for you on their CC.

JP is the man. He's done a lot of work for me at a damned good price. Called him up for my unlock; more expensive than going online but it's brickproof and local.

Yeap he sold me the bezel and charged labour, this was back in the summer so if I remember correctly it was $15 or $20 for the bezel and I think he charged $15/$20 for labour, call him up and ask him for the pricing but I paid $35 total

so i have my BOLD 9000 shipped to me by rogers next week and right now I have the regular data plan with my smartphone...to my understanding I wont be able to use any RIM branded softwares such as BBM, BB browser or pushmail among others...correct? Anyone know if its free to switch from my data plan to the blackberry one? I have the 30bux for 1gig of data...TIA!

question, has anyone sucessfully restored a bb bold thats totally bricked? i got a bb bold here that goes on a continuous reboot loop, red led lights up, red led goes out, screen comes on all white, screen go blank, repeat.

i had tried various googled methods to no success, so anyone have any other ways?
oh and i can't see any codes or anything on the screen cause i believe it's been dropped and the screen needs replacing.

ok a bit of progress... if u can call it progress that is.
i manage to snap a screen shot of what it's showing ont eh screen b4 it restarts itself.
the screen says "reload software 507", which i googled and is an EASY FIX, just flash the DAM PHONE. BUT, another problem persists, the phone keeps on restarting with the battery placed inside.

u gotta reload the software thru the steps in the link i posted

cant use DM gotta go to loader app itself and gotta do it with the right timing while its doing the loops

i forgot to mention those r one of the 1st steps that i tried.
so i've dont those steps probably a million times already still no dice

well then i have no idea, i followed those steps and it worked for me
