OK question, so can I still use BBM when I'm out of the country? Or is that additional data? |

they dun keep track of how much u pay in bills a yr...they count IN TOTAL how much you've paid in bills. hope that clears it up btw 20 bucks for unlimited email plan and caller id, enhanced voicemail, 10000 sent text msg. its 30 bucks but their giving u 10 bucks off. has to be on a 3yr though. and only avaliable for BBs obviously |
As in total since the start of your service with Rogers, as in since the dawn of time? I get it. :) |

Even doing normal browsing i notice a speed increase once wifi connects. As for traveling with the Bold: I came back from Vegas not too long ago and I noticed that wifi doesn't work when data services are disabled. I didn't bother with using any data while roaming but I think it's somewhere around 5 cents per KB. May not seem like much, but it'll add up real quick if you aren't careful. I also had really bad battery life while roaming. The battery wouldn't even last 12 hours on standby. I was on AT&T and even tried switching to 2G only and it made no difference. edit: Bolds were everywhere in Vegas lol edit2: Found this on the Rogers website regarding roaming email + data usage. "††Unlimited E-mail on BlackBerry includes unlimited email when using your BlackBerry on the Rogers wireless network. Standard roaming rate is billed at 3¢ per kb in the United States and other countries. Customers with Unlimited E-mail on a BlackBerry plan will be billed at only $0.006 per kb while roaming in the USA, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin islands." "U.S. roaming is $0.006 per KB and international roaming is $0.03 per KB when you subscribe to a Data plan. If you subscribe to a Flex rate data plan, the U. S. roaming is $3 per MB and international roaming is $0.03 per KB". If you subscribe to unlimited on-device browsing rate, both the U. S. roaming and international roaming is $0.03 per KB. Outside of North America data usage is rounded up to the next 20KB." |
is the $30 6gb data plan included in the flex rate? |
Nope. The flex data plans are completely different. They don't have a set amount of data per month. |
^ Thanks! |
Just got my BOLD! got a question: when I loaded an episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles in avi format onto a microSD card, and tried to play it, the phone has trouble playing it. The video is choppy and after a couple seconds the audio becomes unsynchronized as a result. Would I be able to correct that with a higher speed class MicroSD card? |
so apparently it's selling for 99.99 now for a hup with a data plan when i called yesterday... what you guys think of the $45 bb plan? the one with 500mb data usage...is it enough? |

And Chronicles FTW!!! :D |

I managed to use 351MB. No tethering. There's no way you'll get even close to 500MB unless you tether. |
^^ 351MB? damn. I was only able to rack up 59MB What about everyone else? How much data are you racking up? |
Around 300. Hardly look at videos though, just email, Web browsing, MSN, AIM, and YM. |

I got my Bold without signing up for a data package. I'm constantly around wifi at work and home so I didn't bother with data. Rogers agreed to block data access so I never get charged in case I accidentally access it. (The block failed once and they agreed to reverse the charges, and put on another block) To be sure, I set my phone to 2G. However, when I'm connected to wifi, I am not able to access the browser for internet. Even though the screen says I'm connected on wifi, when I try to get into browser, it says "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. As a result, the browser cannot retrieve any Web pages." Anybody knows why? Do I have to set my phone back to 3G? |

Since you have data disabled on rogers' end, I don't know if the trick will work. |
