online vesus is getting very frustrating. cant set anything up offensively with how easy poke checking and stick lifting and pass intercepting is. i used to dominate time of posession and cycling the puck for scoring chances in 08, now i cant do shit. lucky to get 3 passes in the zone

I have to admit that online is a hell of a lot of fun with like 3-4 people on your team. I think defensively it helps you but offensively it might stifle you a bit because you know where the computer is going to be but you don't know where your friends are headed. :) Had a blast playing tonight with friends.

fighting in this game is pretty fun, me n buddies spent a good half n hour just on fighting.

The fights last 3 seconds and the first one to land 2/3 punches wins.

Also, i think mapping the fight AND hooking/holding button to triangle was a bad idea. I can't count how many times i'm trying to slow somebody down and end up in a 3 second fight. I'm ok with a 2min hooking/holding penalty, but more often than not, it turns into a 5 min fighting major.

Moral of the story? If you're going to hook somebody, be prepared to lose that guy for 5min. :p

Just stick lift. I don't even use the hook button anymore.

anyone find it REALLY REALLY hard to score?
i guess i am not used to the buttons still.. when i shoot, i always hit 2o'clock instead of 12o'clock for max power

also, how do you guys avoid hitting line change after shooting? i always seem to hit O after i shoot...

about 5 hours into the game.. it's pretty good!

alot of ppl who played nhl 08 will have no trouble adapting because what works in 08 works in 09

I'm glad i played 08 alot i was happy to be ranked in the top 1000 in 08, now that i moved on to 09 with no trouble scoring or playing D, I'm ranked in the top 150 in vs :)
