I like to shovel throughout the day. It's far less strenuous than doing one big session in the evening, when you're already tired from the day.

Lomac 12-21-2008 07:15 PM

Been driving in the snow all day. Loved it. Very little traffic on the road and 80% of the roads were completely unplowed. Made shopping very easy and created a lot of fun on the roads. My snow tires are certainly making me very happy, yet when I purposely push 'em too hard, they let go nice and easily. :D

some asshole parked on my side of the street where i shoveled im pissed what should i do ? i was thinking about waking up earlier to shovel some snow over the car

yes. cover his car completely. :D

** and pack the snow nice and tight.

!oHenry 12-21-2008 07:55 PM

Some asswipe stole my tarp off my car last night. :( Now my car looks like it merged with the ground.

Anywho, in surrey, the snow has lightened up but still going.

KingDeeCee 12-21-2008 07:55 PM

I think I gotta stop being stupid and stop shoveling every 5 hours. I freakin shoveled 3 times today. And every time, it builds up more and more -.-.

jing 12-21-2008 07:56 PM

Dear children,

Get the fck off my lawn.

Sincerely,

jing

Don't shovel it OVER his car... shovel it all in front, behind, and under his car. Pack it in there. The pour some water over it. Make sure to get lots of water under his tires, too.

HAHA

frozen barricade ftw

Too bad my car can't handle this weather. If I had AWD with winter tires I'd so drive over to Lonsdale Quay and take some pics of the downtown skyline

are the hills drivable now?

Don't go any where with SLIGHTLY STEEPER SLOPE without snow tires and AWD (FWD at least). Don't go down / up hills unless you have to and you know what you are doing, even so... there's no guarantee you can go back up.

I think the city of Coquitlam just went "fuck it" and stop shoveling... the roads are full of snow! Was driving around 30km at steeper parts with lots of sliding and swing, roads such as Pinetree Way outside of Silver Spring, Parkway Blvd outside of Summit / IGA (and the rest of Parkway)... those roads are NOT recommended.

Ganchinto never replied back cuz he said he was going from ww to coquitlam cntr. haha maybe he never made it :D

Sorry I got back around 8 and I had to start making dinner~
:haha:
With snow tire there should be no problem. Expect a lot of sliding while driving around 30km downhill though. I drove #1 hwy yesterday night and it wasn't that bad, at least they try to shovel more often. Just don't drive on where there isn't tire marks, swings left and right much easier~

Side Note:
I got a decent pair of snowboard pants~ 5000mm waterproof, vent, and stuff... $120~ :D

About 2 hrs ago I was rolling down Pinetree doing like 20km/h. The port mann is pretty bad too as well as thru surrey all the way to 232. After that it was a breeze. Surprised Lougheed was pretty bad and no snow plows on it from barnett to hwy 1.

There was only car in the ditch from what I saw. Just passed 200th st. There was one officer there tho.

IMASA 12-21-2008 09:23 PM

They probably did plow it, but the snow is coming down hard. I just shoveled my street and 1hr later, it looks like I never did.

Ya Coq aren't plowing... :haha:
Glad you made it back!

Oh yeah I did take one pic at Coq Cen as promised... can't risk stopping at a slope to take road pics~
