Never went to it, and quite frankly, Langara isn't that big of a school so there won't be anything big that you'll miss out on

whEEls7 07-25-2013 02:08 PM

do girls just go to the mesh group-study area on the 2nd floor of the library just to talk shit about people?

I go there in the morning and have to listen to bratty conversations under my mozart

What are the easiest university transferable courses in your guys opinion? I need to take 4

Zoidberg 08-06-2013 08:08 PM

^Econ 2296 with Donna Park

+1 econ 2296

Bcap were the easier courses I've taken. I had 3200 with Barbara Wuhrer, scored an easy a. I hear 1200 is even easier. The tests for 3200 were online + open book. Read the textbook, maybe make some notes, then write the multiple choice exams.

I found marketing (1115), organizational behaviour (busm2200), employment relationship management (busm3392) fairly straight forward. Pretty much memorize and regurgitate back onto the exam paper. That said, it still requires work.

So any BBA grads here? What are you guys up to now?

Euro7r 08-09-2013 09:05 PM

^Just finished the BBA program last year. If anyone needs help with 3rd/4th year courses, I can probably help depending on instructor LOL!

slingblade 08-10-2013 01:20 PM

Anyone know of any neat spots to study around campus?'

Preferrably near outlets. I like the third floor but i'm trying to put together a rotation of study spots. Annoying girls come in some of the quiet lab rooms and fuc everything up:yuno:

KingDeeCee 08-19-2013 08:20 PM

The other side of the library is usually empty and barley anyone knows its even there. Never been there in the fall semester though, so could be just another spot. There are always an empty classroom on that side too if you need peace and quiet.

slingblade 08-20-2013 01:20 PM

I use empty classrooms if I ever wanted to study at the school

Kayci 08-20-2013 09:13 PM

^ Same. The library is crowded and loud. Almost always an empty classroom somewhere.

whEEls7 08-29-2013 06:01 PM

what's langara like in the fall vs the summer

is it gonna still feel like a highschool?

LP700-4 08-31-2013 10:45 PM

Where does everyone park? $7 bucks a day for their lot parking? :heckno:

I actually know someone who lives on 49th, if they let me park directly in front of their house will i get towed/ticketed for not being a resident? What are the chances the city will come scan the plates and match the addresses?

dyan 08-31-2013 10:57 PM

$7 bucks a day at langara is cheap compared to SFU/UBC parking

Greenteaxx 09-01-2013 10:13 AM

Do I still attend class if i'm second on the waitlist or do I wait until I get into the course?

You go to class because usually they can override if its an extra one or two. Even if it seems like maybe you'll get into the class for sure, still go to class, you need to know the material and it shows your sincerity to enter the class.

Depends on what time your classes are? Ontario Street is usually parked up on the side street beside the school, so then I drive down to 54th and Ontario and park along there, since that's where free parking starts again. 52nd-53rd and Ontario offers no parking. It's like a 5 minute walk from 54th and Ontario, but at least you save some money LOL.

Quebec and 50th is another area with some free parking where the church is.

Main St and 51st-53rd offers free street parking as well. Not sure if you are okay with walking.

jaclyn905 09-02-2013 01:41 PM

Should I attend BCAP 1200 if I am #7 on the waiting list now??
The school always let international students register first, I have been wait for BCAP from summer:ahwow:
