if i remember correctly, their office is right by the casino on canada way.

it looks like you're doing business to business sales marketing trying to get clients to join shaw. they'll do an interview with you and if they want you.. they'll ask you to spend a day with them to see how things work/go

i never went to the follow up. they wanted me to spend 10 hours with them non pay?
its sort of like a 2nd interview.. and afterwards i pretty much figured it was going to be like door to door marketing.. or at least thats what i thought.. only because they told me what to wear

dress shoes/dress shirt and bring a jacket

thanks for replying back to this old thread.

i am excited to know that.

terkan 11-30-2010 02:39 PM

benefit package is good, the cable package they offer ain't bad, but they hired way too many ppl right now so if you are part time, dont' expect full work week

trip 11-30-2010 03:30 PM

i'm PT and im only doing 32 hrs/week but that is because i chose to.. once it gets warmer i'll opt for 40/week again

Hondaracer 11-30-2010 03:39 PM

^ you doing peice work?

if so u have any schooling beforehand?

championdeluxe 11-30-2010 07:14 PM

what position are you guys in terkan and trip?

i don't mind the pt hours, i got some other stuff to do.

yeah, i saw that there were a lot of tsrs just hired.

im csr.

trip 11-30-2010 07:35 PM

i'm in sales

i opt for the hours i have because i enjoy having an extra day off and traveling in the snow/rain in this weather sucks LOL

they've done alot of hiring to drastically reduce the inbound wait times for callers

saiko 12-04-2010 01:46 PM

sam0m0 12-05-2010 12:52 AM

im getting 40 hrs week, pt -tsr, .. ^^58 hours a week would be crazy OT money, do u mean 2 weeks?

terkan 12-05-2010 01:18 AM

^ per week

tubbyboi 12-07-2010 03:04 AM

Hey guys,

I wanna apply at shaw and i see that they have 2 types of positions opening (CSR or TSR)

To the guys and girls that work there now, what are the aspects that you like and dislike about the position. Or do you guys think i should just apply for both and see what happens? Any kind of feedback would be great.

Thanks in advance!

MikeyStyle 12-16-2010 12:22 AM

i like the company itself.. but i hate the position i'm in (tsr). you'd be surprised on how many stupid people call in, lol

if you're just looking for a job.. just apply for both

a tsr can do pretty much everything a csr can do. their primary role is to fix any technical issues. as for a csr.. their role is more sales and billing related issues

the hardest part of getting the job is just the interview process. once you get hired, the job is pretty easy

do all new hires do graveyard shifts?
calls monitored?

shifts are usually rotated monthly they can range from anywhere starting at 7am and ending 11:30pm. the graveyard overnight shift is a different group of people that only works graveyard. as for calls monitored they'll randomly audit you or listen in on your call. but most the time they just call coach you in person rather than listen in on you. but they do pretend to be cx sometimes and call in.

Gh0stRider 01-04-2011 07:44 PM

thx for the info.

they gonna be hiring anytime soon?

604_EJ1 01-05-2011 06:25 AM

Don't think so as the tsr floor is pretty flooded with new hires. I hope they're not hiring anymore b/c all P/t hours are getting cut back. if we hire more, then i'll lose even more hours.

Gh0stRider 01-05-2011 12:10 PM

ohhh... :(

Gambino 01-06-2011 05:20 PM

Let me know if there hiring I need a job.

trip 01-06-2011 06:07 PM

PT hours are only guaranteed at 20/week
PTimers were getting 40 hrs w/OT available became .... 35 w/no OT available

hell if u get stuck on a call or doing something they wont even approve OT. ALOT of changes in the company lately and more to happen.

not looking good
