Knicks can still sign a 'big' name free agent who is available ... Jeremy Lin! Guy's got a ring. Seriously, wouldn't it be nice to see Lin retire a Knick?

HonestTea 07-01-2019 10:04 PM

Kevon Looney 3 year @ 15M - what a fucking steal!

whitev70r 07-02-2019 05:22 AM

Parents, if you think your kids have pro athlete potential .... don't waste your time waking up early to take your kids to early morning hockey practice. Make sure they go to a playground after school and shoot hoops until it's dark instead.

NBA salary >>> NHL salary.

lol not to mention that hockey is a way more physical and painful sport. As well as expensive start-up. You need skates, gear, padding, stick, etc.
Basketball you need... a ball, and a trash can tied to the wall haha

I'm following both NHL and NBA off-seasons and the contract disparity is crazy. Game-breaking top dog Artemi Panarin gets $11m on a "ridiculous contract" while a floating 8th man on the bench of the Raptors - Norman Powell makes 15 million :lol

big time players should be getting big dollars, but some of these mid-tier players getting max contracts are a little ridiculous

Jamal Murray 5yr $170M
Tobias Harris 5yr $180M
Khris Middleton 5yr $178M

Nlkko 07-03-2019 09:51 PM

It's because of the cap that "big time players" aint getting more than the max/supermax. They're making up on side deals and kickbacks, so you can't really compare LeBron 34m a year with fn'ing Jamal Murray's 34m a year. They are not the same. Besides his own portfolio, LeBron makes way more from the Lakers' kickback that don't fall within the league's official salary.

It isn't ridiculous because of how big the TV deals are and how rev shares work. Not to mention how fast the NBA has been growing. Exhibit 1: Joe Lacob bought the Warriors 8 years ago and the franchise's value already 8x-10x from 450m to nearly 4bil now. NBA franchises are money printing machines. Look at the Knicks and how trash they have been for half a century. Dolan aint selling that ass.

It is SHOCKING
ALL the Analysis these 6 days I watched. ALL WRONG~

“Free-agent forward Kawhi Leonard has informed runners-up teams of his plans: He's signing with the LA Clippers, league sources tell ESPN.

The Clippers have also acquired All-Star forward Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder for a record-setting collection of draft choices, sources said.”

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...leonard-george

whitev70r 07-05-2019 10:23 PM

Oh boy, Clippers had to bend over to get Paul George from Oklahoma!

Let's see how fast Toronto turns on this guy for 'one and done'.

Euro7r 07-05-2019 10:36 PM

Clippers got Beverly, Williams, Leonard, George, Zubac essentially that's their starting team. Everyone else no name players I've never heard of LOL.

Mike Oxbig 07-05-2019 11:04 PM

they got big nigga harrell too

EmperorIS 07-05-2019 11:07 PM

Danny Green signs with Laker

pastarocket 07-06-2019 07:54 AM

WOJ from ESPN and the loud mouth Stephen A Smith got played by Kawhi. Those so called sports analysts got it all wrong.

Kawhi gets the last laugh. :lawl:

AH HA AH HA Ah Ha

Westbrook and PG almost a Raptors

They wanted Pascal, OG, Powell, FVV, multiple first round picks

whitev70r 07-06-2019 08:23 AM

Kawhi a little more sinister than anyone thought ... 'demanding' PG in order to go to Clippers. Looks like Toronto might have still been in the mix (if they swung for the fences and got PG).

Bye KL ... in today's NBA world, 2 superstars isn't going to get it done. Depth, injuries, supporting players is the X factor. Raps was super lucky that they didn't have any significant injuries and they had depth.

Winners - basketball fans in LA, Staples Center. 82 times a year they are the NBA show in town.

Shamet will probably start and Lou and Montrezl will resume their rolls off the bench.

Bender Unit 07-06-2019 01:51 PM

New “New Orleans” :troll: formed

Lakers agreed with Cousins, bring back Rondo
3.5mil for Cousin
Even cheaper than last year at GS

Twin Tower with BronBron

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ing-back-rondo

whitev70r 07-06-2019 05:17 PM

LA filling their roster with over the hill, slow, useless plugs.

Surprised they didn't try to get Kobe and Shaq to come out of retirement. Terrible way to use their cap space.

Wot

Nlkko 07-06-2019 07:14 PM

Lakers' roster average age is sub 28, guy. Not even counting the rookies.... Hardly over the hill. They have shooters now compared to before.

The only bad contract is KCP which I would rather have gone to Seth Curry. But that's Klutch Sports for you.

Clippers also has a solid roster with guys who play super hard and play lockdown D.

Nlkko 07-06-2019 07:21 PM

Also the white mamba:

HonestTea 07-06-2019 07:28 PM

WILD Saturday

Obsideon 07-09-2019 07:49 PM

Amare Stoudemire and Monta Ellis trying to make a comeback, would be hilarious if they went to Lakers?
