i'd say we need a hulking defenseman like chara, pronger, to punish the ppl who stand in front of lu...or a real enforcer who can fight , heavyweight i mean, not hordichuk |
on 1040 yesterday they were talking about Shea Weber may be available. He's going into the last year of his contract and hes going to be unrestricted free agent the next year and of course the Pred's dont have the cash to spend |

Montreal Canadiens has won the cup at least once every decade since the beginning. They haven't won yet in the 2000's... They should get it this year. lol No way should buttfugly get his hands on the cup! |

Vinny was considered a super-star. That's past tense genius. After a couple sub-par seasons he isn't considered in the top 5 anymore. He was but not anymore. Luongo I still hear praise of him being one of the top 3 in the league. |

Sean Pronger...:\ |

Of course, this is quite the few seasons ago. |
^^I think people are turning down the Lu praise since he's been shitting the bed lately hah. IMO he wasn't in the top 3 in the league for this season. |
Come to think of it, all 3 goalies for team Canada got eliminated from the playoffs. I guess you can also include Miller because he was basically the starter for the US team. |

I think the top three for THIS season would be Miller, Halak, and . |
But Halak's game really wasn't that strong until the playoffs, so I wouldn't consider him tops for the season. I'd go with Miller, Rask, and Bryzgalov. |
^ true. can't leave out bryzgalov.. he carried his team. |
so u now have to be the best at ur position to be considered a superstar now? those guys obviously are considered superstars now to be able to get teams to sign them to those ridiculous contracts it shouldn't be a 1/2 year thing even during last year teams still wanted vinny regardless of his stupid contract cuz they consider him to be one of the tops still... genius goalies that were considered "elite" the last couple of years were Luongo, Brodeur, Kiprusoff, Lundqvist, Nabokov, Miller out of all these none of them are really that great in the playoffs but had always had great regular seasons.. and out of all of these Luongo definitely did pretty well and has has made it further than most of them except for Nabokov so again he is considered to be ranked top 3-5 but hasn't been but is no where near one of worst and does play pretty well... since he did get us 2 divisional titles in a row and made it to round 2 twice so overrated? yea i agree but MOST overrated player in the NHL??? really????? u have a so-so series and u guys consider him MOST overrated player in the NHL wow... i think luu alone was the turning point for all the wins in the LA series during round 1 as well and at that time and all the analysts were saying his big saves were what kept the team in it and gave the team a chance to win it while they were down plus there's no way in hell the team can win if he's been giving the team a chance to win and the art ross/hart candidate hank and dank, 35goal monster burrows, samuelsson, 75pts regualr season kesler, and 4mil demitra are all no shows? the best regular season home team and the team can't win a single home game for him while we had to rely on welly belly and shane obrien for our offense? say halak was in net for us for that series with our players, i doubt he could pull off a pitts/wash win like MTL did this year's top 5 would be bryz, anderson, brodeur, miller, rask with luu not far away |
what about JS Guiguere. he carried his team thru a playoffs one year, and hasnt done a damn thing since. does having a fluke real good streak make you a good goalie? |

He's not a bad goalie, top 10 for sure but he doesn't deserve the recognition of a top 3 goalie in the league anymore. I'm not ragging on him just because we lost to Chicago again, its just the fact he played so poorly. If he played the way he did that year we lost to Anaheim in the second round, this conversion wouldn't be happening. What's this about some teams wanting Lecavlier last year? If you're talking about Montreal, thats only one team. Nobody thinks he's one of the tops still. Pre-shoulder injury yes, now not so much. I can name 20 centres I'd take before him. |

and mtl was not the only team that wanted vinny... it was NYR, EDM, MTL and probably a few more teams so yea prior to the beginning of this season ppl are overrating vinny like crazy |

Shea Weber will probably come to Vancouver, get injured or lose interest, or plain not produce. |
