The Backstrom contract woke me up today morning...

I've been out of town and deprived of hockey! I must say though, Flyers fans are intense! I had to wait for a connecting flight in Philadelphia and decided to watch game 1 at the airport bar. The people watching the game were really passionate about it and had great hockey IQ. Another funny thing was how much they absolutely hate Sidney Crosby and the Penns. The whole Pennsylvania rivalry is intense.

Backstrom deserves the contract, Semin is like..no where to be found this playoffs. So he is most likely out the door

Why do people here think local NHL star would play for their city?(hamuis, weber, lucic *in future?* ) NO CHANCE in hell would anybody play for their hometown. Period. It puts too much pressure on them.
