However, what the fuck are those other Flames players mad about and going after the dude going after Phaneuf? They knew some retribution was coming. Phaneuf is gonna stand and fight so let the man defend his hit.

Yeah, two guys got in the way before he finally got to Phaneuf. Those guys need to learn not to interfere.

Phaneuf is such a chicken shit, later in the same game, Matt Martin squared up to Phaneuf tried to fight him, he had to chase Dion from center ice all the way to Calgary's own zone where Phaneuf hide behind Giordano, who ended up fighting Martin. Keep hiding behind your visor chicken shit Dion.

Who the hell is Matt Martin? Thats right Phaneuf is really gonna risk injury fighting a nobody especially in the pre-season and when the hit was completely clean.

and if you go by that theory, then there was absolutely no reason for Dion to throw that hit on Okposo since it was a preseason game. Okposo was already knocked off balance by the other Flames player and Dion still hunted him, its not like Dion is a borderline player fighting for a spot on the roster. Phaneuf saw Okposo in a vulnerable position and didn't let up in a mean nothing game.

If you are going to be throwing hits like that, injuring other players, be a man a stand up for yourself instead of running all over the ice hiding, it was really embrassing watching Phaneuf run. This is the same chicken shit Phaneuf that also spent all last season running from Ethan Moreau of all people, I remember Moreau tried to fight Dion at least on 8 different occasions, and I think Dion only manned up twice, once only because Moreau just started throwing punches. Phaneuf has a history of borderline and dirty plays, sure he throws big hits but he's like Downie in a way that he's always looking to intentionally injure someone.
