Good game. Boring at times, but we played well defensively. Nice to be above .500 and witness Lu taking over the SO record! GO NUCKS! |
Man Kopitar is on fire right now. Wish we drafted him... Good thing Gillis was able to salvage a sweet deal out of that Patrick White mess. God, what a fucking atrocious pick that was. |

Edmonton didnt even show up to play. Raycroft could have picked up the win for us easy. |
no more like the top line of penner and hemsky were shut down this is canucks hockey and when ur 2nd line beats down everybody by speed, the oil had no chance |
just checked NHL.com, i thought Ilya Bryzgalov from PHX has 2 SO, he should be the leader. |
|
technically you are right but luu is franchise record holder for shutouts now. sorry actually i shouldnt have failed you because the person who posted was vague. i removed the fail. |

I will stop with the sarcasm now about this... but ya.. I still think Raycroft should be our #1 goalie... :) bench luongo for having an easy outing out there facing only 27 shots |

Don't get me wrong, I like Roberto...I just don't like how overhyped and overrated he is in this city. |

The argument that luongo is overrated because he hasn't won anything is kinda fucking stupid, it takes more than one player to win a cup and the forementioned goalies who won cups and vezinas all had pretty fucking good teams behind them, with Lu in net this team has the best chance it's ever had to win a cup so maybe that's why ppl are so high on him.. It's just funny how he wins a game a everyone forgets about those which he lost. So wouldn't that make him a superb golie instead of a god?? (IMO) |
Of all the Canuck players Luongo is our best chance at a stanley cup as of right now. He is the best goalie this franchise has ever seen. He has had his God-mode moments and he is a great goalie. I can see where people are coming from saying that you can't say his name in the same sentences as Broduer and Roy - not until Lu wins a cup or other hardware. That is fair enough. But you can't deny his greatness either. When is career is said and done, than the debate can start. Who you guys think will win the games tonight..heres my sportsaction picks i think i may go with.. PHO < NYR (I'm iffy on this one) NYI < MON MIN < CHI TOR < ANA all home teams. |

Give luongo the chance and he will run with it! He has heart and determination, Winning the CUP is his #1 goal. If the canucks get deep into the play-offs no team will stop LUUUU!!!!! |
The Atlanta Thrashers will be without star forward Ilya Kovalchuk for two-to-four weeks. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=296200 |

It's got nothing to do with his lack of playoff success so far - as Hondaracer notes, that's the whole team's problem. You can't ever pin that on any one player. Dismissing the guy's talent and skill because he makes the occasional mistake is the thing that's ridiculous, because ALL the greats screw up at one time or another, no matter how good they area. |
