good game tonight, but not the best showing by our canucks. flames controlled the play for a larger part of the game and generated more chances.

I too think it's pretty stupid for anyone to do it since it shows no class. Furthermore it could cause more harm to our team. For example if we score, the goal may not count.

Seriously how dumb can someone get, even though that person's intention was to help the team. In other words, I laughed because the laser pointer was the dumbest shit I've seen in a sports game.

actually.. I knew this was going to be a tough game. I even predicted us to lose by a little, after watching the flames loss to the blues. After their loss to the blues ,the flames coach probably bitched at his team to play more offensively today. Also, the canucks' win streak had to end somewhere.

Was wAndering where you were. It was an awesome game and they definitely played better than the home team. Game should have been over long ago. Luongo made so many good saves to keep the Canucks above water.

Lots of coaches would probably opt for a powerplay over a penelty shot. If you get a breakaway and the other team is shorthanded, you could have a 5-3 which could be better than the guy taking the penelty shot.

Yup, depends who the shooter is and who the goalie is. Besides, if it was as easy as you say it is, stats would be in the shooter's favour. It would also depend on the team. If your team's powerplay is number one in the NHL or one of the worst, atm.

Anyway, none of us are coaches. The point was made on a broadcast and I believe one or two of the commentators were former NHL players. It was a choice they were after. Nothing more.
