Sedins have been invisible for the past couple games

Harvey Specter 02-06-2010 01:43 PM

Big game from Lu, glad we found a way to win and get 2 points.

Man this season is all about the streaks, a bunch of teams had long winning and losing streaks... Canucks lost to Ottawa on their current winning streak, and extend Bruins losing streak...

carisear 02-06-2010 02:28 PM

kesler is a beast.

lu is.. hmm, just lu!

You're lucky most of RS isn't awake yet! :p

There's a NHL break for 2 weeks this year. For the next winter olympics in 2014, the NHL has yet to decide whether they're allowing the players to participate.

They've had tons of scoring chances. Just lack of finish. Wouldn't call that invisible.

we've been calling kesler a beast long before you guys came up with it today for Lu

HonestTea 02-06-2010 04:21 PM

J.S. GIGUERE!!!

spoon.ek9 02-06-2010 04:24 PM

wow.... toronto is winning 3-0 against ottawa

Noir 02-06-2010 04:31 PM

I actually expected the Sedins too cool of some. With respect to the Art Ross discussion, this is the difference with players like the Sedins vs. players like Crosby or Ovechkin.

Crosby & Ovechkin has been playing with league wide defensive focus ever since their debut. Sedins have always been under the radar NHL-wide. Now that they're gaining attention, it'll be interesting if they can break through the same shut-down hurdles the elites continuously do on an annual basis.

spoon.ek9 02-06-2010 04:42 PM

^ good point, i'm sure they were studied by other teams to some degree but with their most recent success the research done has definitely increased (and it shows). i think the last couple of games they've played samuelsson with the sedins, not sure if that's helping much.

funny thing is, so far in the west, they've been largely unstoppable (with both # of chances and goals).

seakrait 02-06-2010 04:49 PM

toronto 4-0 ottawa (thus far)

tonyvu 02-06-2010 05:04 PM

wow, great game today.... luongo was freaking amazing

spoon.ek9 02-06-2010 05:17 PM

^ yup! i was also happy to hear that it was luongo who approached AV to say he needed a rest (sens game).

Gh0stRider 02-06-2010 05:50 PM

ottawa's win streak is over. lost 5-0

TRD Rs200 02-06-2010 05:50 PM

wow TO owned OTT 5-0

Harvey Specter 02-06-2010 06:19 PM

Sens got owned. Flames got owned because they actually played pretty good but lost in OT.

Okami 02-06-2010 06:44 PM

that 3rd period was like so loose XD giveaways and open lanes all around. but so entertaining to watch.

Pronounce it like Don Cherry: LULongo :D

Razor Ramon HG 02-06-2010 06:58 PM

Wow, Giguere in two games for the Leafs has already gotten two shutouts.

Harvey Specter 02-06-2010 07:13 PM

I think it's safe to say that the Leafs will be a playoff type team come next season. I'll even go as far as saying that they could be in the top 4 in the East if they sign the right players during the off season.
