As some panel say.. if they are worried about losing 800,000$ by waiting to trade him by the deadline then ATL as a franchise is in deep trouble... I would've waited a bit more and see what others has to offers.. if this is the best deal they could've gotten for Kovy then more power to them.

Bergfors is closer to a Raymond than Grabner. He also would have made the Swedish Olympic hockey team but isn't allowed for some reason. Then again Freddy Modin made the team as well. Oduya was also a top 2 dman in New Jersey with Martin and is also going to the Olympics. Cormier can become a solid power forward if he ever bounces back and this year is supposed to be a deep draft.

I'm surprised Dudley did get back more than he did for Hossa. Not sure how Kovalchuk will fit with Lemaire's style in NJ though. Plus it would suck balls if he gets injured in the Olympics.
