has anyone tried buying tickets on craigslist??? some ticket prices seem too good to be true?

i was trying to look for some tickets, but the most important thing is that i want to ensure authenticity and the vanoc website does not talk about how to identify them :(

hotong 02-16-2010 09:49 AM

You take a risk buying from craiglist.. On a side the mens gold for hockey is so expensive people selling them for like 10k

Another problem with buying that way, as some people with re-sold tickets for Cypress are finding, is that refunds for canceled events go back to the credit card VANOC has on record for the purchase... that means unless they were re-sold through VANOC's service, the refund goes to the original purchaser... and you're completely on your own getting a refund from that person.

Holland House is great, only wish that they had a hard bar, lol felt so bloated after all that beer and its impossible for me to get drunk off beer.

You like it at Saxony? Might check it out Friday before heading to Yaletown for Deadmau5.

Heard that Holland, Saxony and Atlantic Canada house are the 3 best ones.

VANOC cancels standing room tickets for remaining events at Cypress
News1130 Staff Feb 16, 2010 11:17:14 AM

VANOC has announced the cancellation of "general admission standing room" tickets at Cypress for snowboard halfpipe (Feb 17,18), ski cross (Feb 21, 23) and snowboard parallel giant slalom (Feb 26, 27). Tickets will be refunded. VANOC says rain has made the standing room area unsafe for spectators.

I feel sorry for the people who travelled here from out of town or overseas to see these events. Hopefully they have tickets to see other events to make their trip worthwhile...

For those who went to Heineken House, what time should I get there by to make sure I get in?

A guy on another forum said we won't get in if we started at 3pm on Saturday, is this in your guys' experience?

marc0lishuz 02-16-2010 10:58 AM

Went to HHH on Friday and Sunday around 8:30pm both nights. Just be patient in line... roughly 1-1.5hr wait to get in.

OMG how did you get it??? The dude recycled my Coke bottle, and said that I didn't win the LED Coke. Shiets. Wasted so much time in the lineup too.

Hondaracer 02-16-2010 11:20 AM

When I went on Saturday everyone who had 2 stickers on it was getting it

Yea it was a pretty good vibe in Saxony, but after 11pm is the best cause thats when its more a club like atmosphere, only thing is that its a small venue and bar setup isn't the best. I like it there cause I don't have to wait in line lol, we know the security working the door ;)

Gh0stRider 02-16-2010 11:27 AM

I got my glowing coke from the torch relay at livecity yaletown. took me two tries to get one.

Hondaracer 02-16-2010 11:29 AM

Yea the bar line is kinda stupid and geeks running tabs think it gives them the right to walk to the front of the line :/

but yea awsome atmosphere, good beer, hot women

Its really hard to say, we went at 5:30pm lined up for 10mins and they came out and said they where closing the line to non-Dutch for the night and told everyone to leave as they where expecting 1000-1500 Dutch to come after the speed skating event. Luckly while in line we chatted up a few hotties in front of us and exchanged numbers, they decided to stay and wait it out. 20 mins later, as we where walking back to the car the girls called and said they where reopening the line, we went back and got in within 15mins as most people already left.

yea I was really impressed with the German Beer actually  What made the bar line even worse the Saturday night I was there was that it started to rain so everyone diverted from the outside bar to the only bar inside.

invader 02-16-2010 11:41 AM
