For 5 years development and making everyone wait this long, i was expecting better. Overall not bad, i prefer Forza 3 to GT5 at this point, but ill keep playing see if my opinion sways.

LMAO Spent 55k on a prius.... Fancy clutch and flywheel, stage 2 tune, ecu upgrade, exhaust manifold, titanium exhaust, pretty much everything I could to get the power up there. $25k of engine mods later and I'm at 1244 kg and 134 hp or smth... FML lol still fast enough to win any beginner races and with the medium suspension handles quite good.

Money is too easy to come by especially with the special events. Nurburgring challenge 2 races = almost 30k.

Is there any way to actually tune the car? I cant find how to and just buying parts doesnt really do it for me.

I thought GT3 was the better game compared to 4...i never played the 2nd one and it's been way too long since the original.

I must be on the wrong setting but the high beam doesn't seem to do shit for me..and i still can't figure out how to use the horn..does that get unlocked or sthing haha.

I love the background animations on main menu and photo mode is awesome!

GT3..... besides the endurance races, was lacking in events. same goes for the choices of cars too..

not to mention, the physics feel was more arcade than simulator.. as i thought GT2 was actually harder to play than 3.

just IMO.. but people out there agree, if they've played all Gran turismos

After playing a couple hours of arcade and GT mode I've concluded

For me definitely prefer Forza 3 over GT5.

With Forza the whole game was just much easier to get into. Was more fun tuning the cars and rims/kits. Just seemed more well balanced to me.

The music and the sound effects are pretty bad with GT5. I find GT5 gameplay more frustrating also. Although I was expecting a wayyyy better game, this game still isn't BAD. But coming from playing Forza, really seems GT5 is lacking. Seems like they cared more about the graphics then the gameplay. I was hoping they were gonna take alot of the positives from Forza and put a better spin on it.

I played the Top Gear track and boy was that frustrating driving that POS. I either got pit maneuvered by the CPU or came a little too fast in a corner and bumped into the CPU and got disqualified. I hope they don't have like 30+ min races and if you bump into an opponent you get to start ALL over again. I would throw my fucking PS3 off the balcony

yes, before u choose to start the race, where ur at the grid posting screen, there's the "start" "save" "replay" "option" "______" "exit"

that "______" is where u go in to adjust the settings for ur car.

haha i noticed that too, i was doing a night race and was playing arnd with the high beam, it doesnt work lol.
the horn button is ur left joystick. just press down.

g25 + gt5 = OMGAWDDDDDDDDDD.

I might pick up a microsoft wireless one since the reviews are pretty good and they are really cheap on craigslist. As for the G27 it seems like a wheel would benefit GT5 I can't stand the dual shock controller for throttle control as well as steering control Right now it's kind of an on/off button for me. Are there any mods to get G27 working with xbox? haha

I guess its give and take better game for better wheel haha. Looked into the fanatec turbo S but I guess they are sold out since they are limited editions

Is EB still doing the trade in stuff for GT5? Whats the cheapest place to get it apart from that?

Its not bad could be better after like 6 hours of playing it pisses me off how you have to do licence and earn levels instead of just importing from previous games. And how exactly does the damage work? Is it all just cosmetics? I don't notice any differences in handling after crashes?

IGN says you can import all cars from Gran Turismo PSP. Sweet I got like 300 cars up and running in that. :D
