He ordered it online, I just forget where :p

bcrdukes 04-07-2013 06:22 PM

I ordered my Rudy Project glasses on their website Rudy Project Sunglasses, Helmets and Goggles - Leader in Cycling Sunglasses, Golf Sunglasses, Running Sunglasses and Prescription Sport Sunglasses

kayceeee 04-07-2013 08:55 PM

for those that asked

i got the lid online. i first saw the lid at bicicletta for like 230 plus tax or so

then looked online for a few days and finally found a site thats based in colorado that sold it for less. ebay amazon erudy and other retailers all had it almost retail. so i just ordered it and shipped it to blaine.

Excel Sports - Online Bicycle Retailer

bcrdukes: if you order your glasses and want a lid you should take a look into their gift with purchase program

Rudy Project Gift With Purchase Program - Buy a sunglass or helmet and get one of 6 Rudy Project items FREE!

its basically like getting it as a combo, i think its slightly cheaper, depending of course what helmet/glasses you get.

Yeah, I did but there were some provisos which didn't qualify for the free gift (long story.)

You guys are bad-ass riding in the crappy weather!

On a side note, I haven't touched my CAADX in a week due to a shitty flu. I missed out on last weeks commute, hoping to make up for it this week.

I hope their return policy covers return shipping! Otherwise I would just take the hit and buy one locally. :p

They do, but in this case they don't care to have me send it back, they are just sending out a new tube.

Also the shipping has tracking LOL!

I really have nothing to compare it to, but I love it. Shifting is so smooth and easy

Which type of tires did you get again? When you have a chance to use them...do a review on them (if you dont mind). I am also looking for some new tires. Thanks in advance.

i have gp4000s and i have those holes too

Alphamale 04-08-2013 04:05 PM

I can confirm those are indeed wear indicators. I also got my set in recently and I installed it on my bike 2 days ago. It's finally sunny today so I will be taking them out for a commute in a few hours. Hopefully they're better than my old shitty vittorias which were totally squared off in the rear, LOL.

Nope, not too many sales on nowadays when it's just about prime riding weather. There was a sale at Delta Bike Co. over the weekend, but I went there this morning and there's nothing left.
I think your best bet would be eBay. But if you're going for colour alone for a saddle, you might be in for a sore a$$.

You could try Pacific Multisport. John has take off saddles from time to time.

dat_steve 04-08-2013 09:05 PM

strada cycles in gastown has takeoff stuff sometimes

probably need to take a second or third mortgage on your home for that stuff though hah

Ironically, they cater to people like you (who work in your industry.) :D

604CEFIRO 04-09-2013 08:06 AM

I saw last Thursday Bicicletta also had a bunch of different take off saddles for sale.

So minor annoyance putting on the gp4000s. Seems like they are a tad more plump than my 700x25 conti sports... The clearance on my crud mk2 fenders are so tight that the rear 700x25 tire is rubbing on one particular spot on the tire and fender. I thought at first it was the middle ridge that runs along the middle of the tire.. It's like a mold line/excess rubber so I took a shaving razor and carefully shaved it off. Still rubbing hard.

Inflated to 110psi like my old ones... Bah. I don't wanna take the fenders off till the weather is actually consistently dry out
